I wonder what he thinks/has to say about Fields. Bosa too.
It appears he is having a solid pre season. Will be an interesting battle for TE#2. Dwelley appears good in camp but doesn't show much in the regular season.

Both are locks IMO, Dwelley has his entire base salary($920K) GTD, plus he got a $480K signing bonus, they only save $188,235 if they were to cut him.
Has had some nice clutch catches this pre-season. I like Charlie Woerner...seems to be doing a good job.
I think he is pretty much a roster lock. Kittle-Dwelly-Woerner.

Matthews too. I think we keep all four.
I haven't seen film but I heard he is having trouble separating. Still has some clutch catches. I'm intrigued by Matthews though.
Haven't heard of any updates on Woerner's injury. Hopefully it wasn't too bad as I'm hoping to see improvement in him this season.

Somebody did a draft profile on him the year he was selected. Apparently he was quite a stud in HS. He had something like 32 TD's as a runner and receiver and more than 3,000 yards from scrimmage. It's only HS but still. Then he went to college and became a blocking specialist. That's life in the big leagues I guess.

I saw that, too. Made me think that in addition to his blocking abilities he has some receiving skills to make some plays for this team. Hoping he can further develop and contribute.
Charlie "Philip Rivers" Woerner step on up.

4 for 37

Dwelley will have 5 for 57 and a TD and Woerner will be a key blocker today with Kittle out
My man had some amazing blocks - pancaking edge defenders, then getting back up and blocking downfield.

It usually takes 3 years for an NFL TE to fully develop. Looks like his blocking game is already there - just need to start working him more into the passing offense. Love to see what can happen with him and Kittle on the field at the same time.
Big arrow up for Woerner....kid has been crushing it as a blocker this yr.

Currently he's the 8th overall ranked TE on PFF and the 6th overall RBLK.
