Currently he's the 8th overall ranked TE on PFF and the 6th overall RBLK.

screw all those ranking... this kid and our other TE (82) can be as good as Witten if given a chance.. they are just not being used correctly..

He's outsnapped Dwelley the past 4 games (I didn't go back further). Safe to assume he's TE2 now.

I'd like to see how he plays at FB, it would be great if we find a Deebo 2.0/Juszczyk 2.0 in Woerner.

Why is it "this guy isn't as good as that guy" or "he's not being used properly" with you, you clearly hate Kyle, yet his offense is clicking, I don't get it.

As for Woerner, he's clearly the #2 TE now, and deservingly so, he had a clutch 3rd down catch for a 1st last Sunday.

It'd be great to find another Juice, not to replace him, but to compliment him, and give him a breather, cause Juice has been playing the most he's played with the 49ers this season, I think he's been over 40 snaps offensively at times on offense.

Kyle Juszczyk

WK1 20 36%
WK 2 41 59%
WK 3 48 69%
WK 4 62 82%
WK 5 42 65%
WK 7 26 46%
WK 8 31 55%
WK 9 24 41%
WK 10 40 59%
WK 11 38 55%
WK 12 44 63%

416 TOTAL SNAPS

Look at our last 3 games, all Wins, he's played 55% or more of the offensive snaps, so much for those saying he isn't worth his contract, cause he is.

Holy Cow, that's a lot of snaps!

Agree about complementing vs replacing. I love Juice and how he just contributes to this team in so many ways. However, there is a positive to getting younger at the Offensive Weapon spot (Juszczyk's spot). 1) trade possibilities, for either - you might get a higher pick for either Woerner or Juszczyk, possible 2nd or 3rd rounder for Juszczyk or Woerner 2) the two tight end, one back formation - with Deebo as RB and Juszczyk and Woerner at the TE spots, and Aiyuk and Jennings at the WR spots might pose a problem for defenses. 3) possible cap savings for Juszczyk, he's taking up 7 million and 5 million respectively in 2022 and 2023 and Woerner will barely make 1 million in 2023. Love to have both develop and be 1A and 1B as OW in this offense, but I also got to love how Woerner is developing and possibly challenging Juszczyk for that OW spot in the future.

Unless Juice's production falls off, I don't see them moving on from him, also his cap numbers are very low, in 2022 is just below $3M, $6.5M in 2023, $7.5M in 2024 & 2025, by then, his deal won't effect the cap, I think by 2024 & 2025 the cap will be $260M & $280M.

Good point about the cap moving up in 2024 and 2025. I just want more multi-skilled hybrid players on offense. Specially on the TE and Wr side. I think Kyle's creativity and motion offense really makes his offense very difficult to consistently stop when he can mix and match personnel to do weird and unexpected things against a defense with even no weaknesses.

Agreed, the more players like Deebo & Juice the better, add in Kittle, Aiyuk, Mitchell, Sermon, Woerner, next year Trey will have a lot of weapons at his disposal, and he has the arm to hit the deep passes, plus the improving Jauan Jennings, who has really come on as that 3rd WR.

I don't hate Kyle.. I just don't think he's a good HC.. I think he's overrated and I think he's got much to learn..

I also think that he doesn't know how to handle a team... look at the time he wasted on players... look at the signing of the free agents..

look at how we handling the BEST FB IN FOOTBALL ... we give all that money, he's very talented... but correct me if I'm wrong.. his last catch was that diving DOWN & OUT by the sideline.. no?

KS has yet to learn how to use his weapons week in and week out.. one week he'll use this guy, next week he'll use that guy...

Last week alone, #17 was in the starting line up... for a series or two, then out for the rest of the game..

And I thought he should be ranked higher. They may be missing something. He has been a stud in the run game. Very nice to see this progression. Such a huge asset to have.
A really good blocker who appears to be developing into a decent receiver as well. Kinda reminds of Garrett Celek who came in out of college as basically just a blocking tight end but ended developing into a pretty solid receiver and was a very solid #2 TE for a decent number of seasons. Woerner though is definitely a little more physical in the run game than Celek was as he is turning into one of the best run blocking TE's in football.
