Charlie Woerner l TE, ATL

Lynch talking about his pass catching

And what we saw that day is maybe Charlie is a little better than the numbers might speak to. Given the opportunity, we believe he can ascend there

I think they envisioned him to be a full TE, not just majority blocking TE.

Doesn't have to replace him, but be able to play FB at times. The FB position is dying, if not already dead. Few guys are like Juice who can run that well, catch, and still block. I think going forward we won't have a traditional FB anymore once Juice leaves, if we keep Kyle as the HC>

Have to agree,...just a guy that has the ability to fill in there is probably what Kyle wants. "Is he doing some road grading with a head start,...pass protecting,...or splitting out?"

An experiment,..sure,...but one u aren't going to do in late rounds with athletic 6'5" guys that cant block. If that is the case then you can't sell the run game as much. A guy to keep the guessing games going with defensive coordinators is what I see,...not a full-timer @ TE where he's nowhere near as athletic as a Kittle.

CHARLIE !!!

Losing your touch Moon.

He's from Georgia. He can block. He's the Peach Clobber...you know like peach cobbler.. .

pretty good.. pretty good.. but there's something about that name people just don't wanna change..

I really like the sound of.. TOUCHDOWN CHARLIE !!! CHARLIE TOUCH DOWWNNNNNN!!!

WHO WON ROOKIE OF THE YEAR... "Oh, that went to CHARLIE !! "

Don't mean to temper the excitement, but let us see how he does first. There was a TE pick last year that didn't even make the team.

Should have. He was and is legit.

True but that TE looked pretty decent in NYG. I assume he's part of the reason Engram is available

Great point, Nas...

That would be a great find. Dwelly was a key player against the cardinals last year. More depth at TE is a plus in a long season.

Hopefully, he can battle with Dwelly for that #2 spot.

I'll be shocked if he's anything near Kittle receiver wise, Kittle ran a 4.5 Woerner ran a what 4.7-4.8? Plus Kittle's measurables showed he was athletic and much capable to be a legit target

Yeah, he doesn't compare to Kittle speed wise, but sounds like he's comparable blocking wise.

Toilolo has 100 catches in the NFL, and only had 2 targets all of last season including the post season. It seems as if Kyle's blocking TE doesn't do much in the passing game or maybe that was out of necessity since Skule and Brunskill played so much.
lets go CHARLIEEEE !!!!
