The winningest coach in NFL history, coach of the first undefeated team, the legendary 1972 Dolphins. I was pretty much always rooting against his teams, but I respected him as a coach.

Growing up in Miami, this guy was absolutely iconic. Underrated coach in that his squads were just about always very competitive. Very few losing seasons. RIP.

and yet he gets ripped for not getting to the super bowl as much as he did. he did ignore the run game i think when he had marino and maybe we showed the nfl how to beat marino and make them one dimensional in the super bowl

33 seasons as a head coach and only 2 of those were losing records.

What a career, undefeated season, losing SB 3 to the NY Jets, coached Dan Marino. I guess you could say he was Belichick before Belichick. Should have won the Big One with Marino.

Shula is up there with the fantastic 4. Lombardi, Shula, Walsh and Belichick, not necessarily in that order.

I was gonna say that. I would take off Belichick and put in Noll. BElichick has the rings and a cheating track record for those rings.
