Greatest Running Backs of All Time - peak skills over 3-5 year stretch (not on longevity)

This thread is getting silly.
The great Barry Sanders. His 97 season was magical. Heck, his entire career was magical.

Hes the greatest running back in the history of football since football didn't exist before 1990.

it's clearly barry. he played on absolute dogs**t teams and emmit wouldn't have come close to his record if barry had kept playing

Based on this criteria I think an underrated candidate would be Jamal Charles. If he didn't have injuries he would have finished his career with the best YPC of all time and technically he still does have the highest YPC of any RB cause Motley was a FB.

f**king Charles. I had a 12 team FF league championship in the bag 8-10 years ago I think and the f**ker proceeds to score 5tds in one game against the s**t Raiders.

I was at that game with one of my best friends who is a Raiders fan. We were playing each other in fantasy and I had Charles and we played each other that week.

I still think about it lol
My Vote goes to Sanders 2020

Imagine Sanders on that cowboys team.
Jim Brown
6-2 230

As big as the avg o lineman, with world class speed.
Played on s**tty surfaces, rain mud etc.

Played with no hip pads or thigh pads, Never missed a game in 9 years.

Marked man every game, he asked no quarter he gave no quarter. His 1963 thru 65 years were crazy.

Best player of all time. Period
You must be mistaken. Football didn't exist in 1965.

that's were the argument gets lost. when a RB at 230 lbs is bigger than most players on the field, that's not top class competition.
No, It shows what a great athlete he was.

He would run around you , by you, or over you.

Great receiver , too. Watch his highlights! Remember everybody gave him their best shots . Both clean and dirty. His yards per carry still stands.
