Supposedly their new name will have nothing to do with native americans, I wonder what they're gonna rebrand it is?..

either way, snyder is still the owner and he is the biggest POS owner in american sports.

The other thing to me is I rarely hear anyone championing the causes for Native Americans that will actually impact their lives. You have unemployment, drug addiction, education issues, and a myriad of other problems plaguing Native American communities and granted I know you can chew bubble gum and walk at the same time so you can want the name changed and still champion causes for Native Americans but all mainly hear is how racist the name is and it should be changed.

To me it's like walking up to a starving homeless person and telling him "Good news. We got everyone to stop calling you a hobo since it's offensive." and than walking away.

Whilst I completely agree that Native Americans need help with their problems, I am not sure how having a billionaire owning a team of professional footballers, and calling them by a relatively derogatory name, is actually helping them.

I guarantee that we aren't as irritated by that as we are by "woke" people pretending that we are as thin-skinned as everyone else and need to be protected by those white knights of virtue.

I recommend you use their strategy for stopping immigration to stop cancel culture.

How many people are you speaking on behalf of?
I know the Indian references that teams around the country use are meant to try and 'honor' native Americans. I find it ironic that after nearly wiping out some tribes, stealing their land and forcing them to live in places they don't want to that we try and honor them with a picture of a warrior on a helmet. Or worse. Them stupid tomahawk chop in Atlanta.

I've yet to see Native Americans speaking out against the name - where are those reports? Where is the outcry, from non-whites?

Most polls I've seen show Native Americans being supportive / not offended. But of course these polls are immediately discounted by the snowflake crowd.

Norte Dame Fighting Irish....where is the outrage there?

Now at least you can't say you haven't seen any Native American's speaking out against the name ...

Good, thank you. This matter has been raised and debated by native Americans for as long as I have been watching the sport. And people like Snyder have ignored them. But that doesn't mean that people don't care and it certainly doesn't mean that it is virtue signaling by white people.

And the fighting Irish comment remains just fatuous, as it was all the other times it was raised.

Booyah!
Washington gonna have the Wizards and Warriors. 10 year old me would be so psyched.

All they have to do is change their logo to a potato, and the problem is solved.

Nah it was from a PETA campaign but Snyder could have gone this way he wanted to be a real dick about keeping the name.
