The Browns are named after Paul Brown.

I like Washington Pigskins.

It works because the football is often referenced as the pigskin. Also the fan base is known as the hogs so they already embrace the pig moniker. The logo could be a bad ass hog. Something similar to the Razorbacks

So what's going to change besides the name and logo? Absolutely nothing.

Oh well couldn't really care less.

You said dog "themed". Those are officially licensed Browns logos. Id say that counts.

Definitely not the product on the field.
Name should reflect city so Senators and Bill's is taken.

Incumbants
Porkbarrels
Quorums
Hanging Chad's
Swamp Donkies

I read Snyder likes a name that is already trademarked.

Yeah pretty sure it's the Warriors. That would be super lame. Why choose a name that's already taken in another sport

Maybe not but that D-line was already pretty nasty I could see Chase Young having a Nick Bosa like impact on that team.

LOL.

Why is the coach involved anyways. Even in the greatest of situations possible with the greatest coaches ever they might make it 15-20 years.

Realistically Ron Rivera will be gone in 4 or less seasons. I don't think his opinion on a team name has much point.
Why can't you use a mascot name that another team uses. There are several teams that use the same mascot in college. Auburn and LSU are both tigers and they're in the same division of the same conference. There used to be 2 teams named the Giants in the same city. Same for the Yankees. You can't use the logo which is trade marked but the mascot name is open season. Whatever name they pick there will be fans that hate it and fans that love it. That's America.

I was thinking that, too.

Kinda silly, IMO.

Should be the heads of the org coupled with experts in the field of marketing.

Literally nobody else.

They could but why not be original? There are too many things in the world to be considered to have a brand new team name and not be original. That's just my 2 cents
