The Washington Commanders Thread

I mean Commanders isn't that bad a name. Half of this is blowback from people who were triggered by the NFL and sponsors deciding tradition wasn't enough to justify a racial slur as a team name. That's a fact.

The name is generic af, yes. But so are a lot of names. "Washington Commanders" has a decent ring to it.

I'll say it again: half of the blowback is from people who were triggered because tradition wasn't enough for "Redskins" to continue to be tolerated by sponsors. People are triggered, so they're going to judge the name more harshly than they objectively would otherwise.

How did they not see that one coming? It was all over the Pat Mcafee show already. Once you hear it said you can't unhear it. the Red Team , the Washington Commies. They got to change the name to something else before it is too late. Everyone is going to be calling this team the Washington Commies. You don't want your football team being widely known and called the commies. everything about it is just begging people to call them that.

Their fans had to accept the fact they were going to be called football team for 2 years just for the name to be called Commanders I'm so glad im not a fan of theirs.

They apparently wanted something unique as nowadays between the name and logo it's lawsuit city. It's good enough I guess.

Should have just rolled with Pigskins. It's close to the traditional name. Could have had a bad ass Hog for the logo. The fan base is called the Hogs anyways.
