The offense wasn't electric when he was healthy. Why will it be electric if and when he comes back? Fans keep expecting this offense to suddenly turn into the KC offense. The offense is what it is and works with the personnel we have.

Dude can replace Bourne and his drops from the slot. Taylor might be done too.

At the beginning of the season Reed was only getting a hand full of snaps so he could be eased back in. When Reed was ready to be implemented into the game plan Jimmy got hurt on the MetLife Stadium turf against the Jets. The next week when clearly ready to dominate, Reed got hurt on the MetLife turf too. Jimmy had two TDs in the Jets game before he got hurt and both were to Jordan Reed. Reed is just like Verrett in that when they are healthy they are dominant players in this league. We see that with Jason at CB and we will see that at TE when Reed steps back on the field.Originally posted by CatchMaster80:Originally posted by Ark49er:Yeah if and when we get him back then our offense will be electric and no one will be questioning Jimmy's abilities as much. We don't know how effective Reed will be when he comes back and he's likely to get hurt again given his history. Even if he stays healthy I wouldn't use the Jets game as a barometer to measure how good he will be. Everyone looks good against the Jets.

The point is Reed has always been good and the concussions he has suffered over his career has robbed him of his certified top 100 players in the NFL status. The good news is this injury was not related to a concussion in the least. He doesn't have to try to be the man here and do everything like he had to in Washington, because we have another top 100 player and best TE in George Kittle.

We don't even know how good our offense can be when Reed comes back because we haven't seen both him and Kittle on the field at the same time for two TE sets (Kittle was hurt before Reed was implemented into the game plan). Having them both healthy and playing at the same time is a true wild card for the defense because you really don't know if it is a run or a pass. Double tights with either Deebo or Aiyuk and with Juice and Raheem could be a run just as easy as it could be a pass! I have visions of NE Gronk and Hernandez swirling back in my head!Originally posted by Ark49er:Originally posted by CatchMaster80:Originally posted by Ark49er:At the beginning of the season Reed was only getting a hand full of snaps so he could be eased back in. Barometer has measured. Dude has played a few more games than the Jets. He's really good when healthy.

This offense was 4th in total offense last year and 2nd in scoring. I expect them to be as good if not better than last year when/if they get back to full strength.

Have you not been paying attention? The offense is far better than it was at the beginning of the season.

Losing Deebo before the Seahawks game is a big hit. Im hoping Shanahan can compensate the loss with Reed coming back. I can see Kittle and Reed on the field together alot.
