Yup this has been talked about for a couple months...incentive laden deal. Low risk/high ceiling.

When cut downs start taking place they can save $5-6M real easy...use that for a Kittle signing bonus and let's put that s**t in the past.

A healthy Jordan Reed will give Jimmy another reliable target and take some of the pressure off Kittle. That can only spell trouble for Niner opponents. I get the concern about JR's health...but it's an incentive-laden 1 yr contract, so not a big investment, but one that could pay off handsomely.

Exactly!
SF pulls the rug out on the Seahawks. Adams is good but not good enough to cover them both at the same time. Since it's incentive laden I bet my dogs balls he stays healthy.
Probably just a little incentive for Kittle's team to be more reasonable. We needed TE depth anyways.
This was a nice bit of news to come back to

IF (big IF with health) I'd love to see some 12 personnel of Kittle/Reed/Jet.

Yup, just a nudge to the contract talks. Yes, there are *other* players in the NFL with the kind of skill set that Kittle brings as a Wr. This probably moves up Kittle's signing closer to NFL opening day, vs closer to trading deadline day.
It's a good deal for us obviously. Now the question is do we carry 4 TEs?

Same, specially in the red zone. That lineup looks pretty unstoppable.

Why not, expanded practice squad with four protected, I can see it happening.
