But still young though, only 28.

If all these hurt players can stay healthy and produce. We potentially have 4 candidates for comeback player of the year.

I'm hoping Verrett and McKinnon have a good season. Those two would be a huge boost to the team. I like Kevin White hope he sticks, but gonna be hard beating out Taylor if healthy.

Is there hope? Can his career be revived? What if he stays healthy?

All would be a plus - if he can show he is back healthy and contributing, that's all we can ask for.

I wouldn't count him out. If he stays healthy he has the ability to play at a high level.

He's really big and really fast and can make plays.

Outside of Deebo and Aiyuk, I don't think any WR is a sure bet to make this team. White has the potential to break out and find himself a spot. I think Tavon Austin is one of the top three guys we have. I don't see either Trent Taylor or Kendrick Bourne as being locks either.

I liked him coming out in the draft - he has to prove he can stay healthy if he wants to get a nice future contract.

Desire, my man . . . desire!
If he has that, he's easily a #1 caliber receiver!

Itd be nice to have one of those. Back in 2015 i wanted him on our squad i was mad when the bears got him.

Why would he have to beat out Taylor?

Samuel
Aiyuk
Taylor
Bourne
Pettis
Jennings

IMO White is fighting Jennings and Austin for that 6th spot. Or maybe we keep 7 and two of them make it.

Because if he can't beat out someone in the top 4, he's not getting a roster spot for how much he's getting paid.

I see, I definitely wasn't thinking of salary. I wouldn't think it would be so much more than Austin or Jennings that that would be the deciding factor. But I also didn't see what they reportedly gave him

Definitely much more than a 7th round pick. I also say he needs to beat out the top 4 because I don't think he has return ability like Taylor, Pettis or Austin.

If I was a receiver coming in this late I would hope for the practice squad.

I know he is big and fast. What's the word on his hands and routes?

He's good decent hands, strong...but not really a great natural hands catcher. And route running was never a strength. This is really a surprise Shanny-signing for me.

White's salary cap number for 2020 is $750K, which isn't a lot, but if he makes the week 1 53 man roster his deal is fully GTD, I just don't see them doing that, if he ends up not playing well and he gets cut we're out $750K when we're cap strapped. Same goes for Tavon Austin, I don't think either make it.
Hopefully White can be our Alshon Jeffrey or Allen Robinson. If he can stay healthy he could be good he has all the tools. I'd rather have White over Austin fasho Taylor too. I know everyone here loves Taylor and i dont hate Taylor but hes small and gets injured a lot. If Taylor wasnt fragile he could be a Wes Welker but he stay getting hurt. He can catch though and I know white gets hurt a lot too but his potential is higher than Taylors potential. If he can stay healthy. He was a top 10 prospect talent wise and while his route running aint the best kyle can still find ways to get him in open space hes good after the catch and he can get jump balls.

Deebo
Aiyuk

The former is more likely than the later. I cannot see us keeping 7 WR's. And I think he's battling Pettis more than Jennings. I got Jennings making the team and Pettis on a bubble.
I really hope Kevin can make good on his potential.

In the highlights of him with the bears. He makes some really nice Grabs. part of his problem could have very well been playing with trubisky.

With Whites size, Speed, and Playmaking ability to me he resembles Julio Jones. could you imagine? haha. man.
Doesnt he have some injury prone and/or inducing flat feet?
