When you have the talent the Niners have, you don't need to have everything fall perfectly. They just need to stay healthy.

We have wasted our last two tries and may take us another decade or more to reach one again no matter how good you are, takes a ton of luck to get there.

Look at our roster and the coaching staff, there's no way this team falls back down to earth or whatever you're talking about unless injuries hit. We shouldn't even have been licking 2nd overall if Jimmy didn't get hurt so I don't know what you're talking about.

Not saying we're a lock to return but you look at teams like the Rams who fell apart because one they overpaid a rb with bad knees and 2 a qb who got figured out that he simply can't be much effective without a legit running game. There's no reason other than injuries why this team couldn't return, this team is built different

This couldn't be further from the truth. At one point last season we started our 4th and 5th sting tackles in the same game. We had a slew of injuries and still dominated for the first 10 quarters of the playoffs.

But we got the perfect teams to play, didnt have to play NO. We had a cake walk in the playoffs.

Lol ok, if the saints were so great why didn't they beat the Vikings at home? Your logic is so off, you act as if this team sucks and we got by with luck
I wasn't happy for Andy Reid..I LEFT LAS VEGAS PISSED
"everyone was happy about Reid winning the SB last season, no matter who you were a fan of"

What BS is that?

Never once said we suck. Just saying every year some unknown team that no one gave a shot (us last year) rises to the top of the heap and some fall off. I think we will be decent and make the playoffs this season, just dont think we will make it back to the super bowl. Very rare for that to happen. Handful of times. All im saying is I wont be shocked if we fall a bit. We thought the same thing in 2013.

Who cares whose better, that's why you play the game and the Vikings on paper aren't slouches. They went to the NFCCG just 3 years ago with Keenum at qb.
Texans going to make this game look closer than it actually was.

Think about it this way. Last year was less an anomaly than an extension of the end of 2017. We have WAY less front office drama mucking up things too from previous regimes. Contracts secured for Kyle and Lynch. I totally get your viewpoint but feel like we've just been conditioned to mentally expect backbreaking injuries too. Kyle hasn't given us much reason to doubt him.

Totally, I dont expect us to only win 5 games or something. Just very doubtful we have the year we had last year. Doubtful we start 10-0 again.

Of course I would've rather played the lower seed but at the end of the day the big bad Saints lost at HOME. You don't win on paper, your logic is fake news because the same could've been said with the Chiefs all playoffs long falling behind with the luck and bounces their way with what you're saying about the 9ers. If Pats don't take a dump in foxboro against the dolphins last game of the year Chiefs play 3 playoff games before the SB and then mentioning their slow starts in the playoffs. Yet folks crowning the Chiefs as a lock to return

Of course it applies to them as well. I am not saying it only applies to the 49ers. I think any team that makes it to the super bowl and a bit of luck along the way. Be it from which division you play in, to help from other teams, to injuries. Takes more than just being a good team to win it all.
