That's the same take I have. This division is brutal.

With Ford and bosa maybe we can force a few bad throws. Wonder how long deebos out

I think if we spy Murray and Wilson with Warner, that would be the best solution. The way they had a spy on Murray seemed to mitigate some of his escapability to the edges.

Gonna be hard to win without deebo, eh we'll see what happens
hope the bears pull out a win against the lambs
Arizona did really well against Russ at the end of the game. They blitzed, but they weren't cute about. They got their guys in their gaps immediately and fired off the ball. It forced Russ to have to make a quick decision and doesn't give him time to pick you off.

I think there might be something to this. Dont try to be cute and roll a safety over at the last second and drop a defensive end in coverage. If you're gonna go after Russ, you can't play games.

this BENEFITS the 49ers.

seattle played almost 5 quarters on SNF. and they still have to travel home.

advantage us

I love my niners as much as the next guy but your setting yourself up for heartbreak if you think we got a shot. I would absolutely love to be wrong

i mean we DO have a shot. wtf you talking about. that the niners should just bow down and forfeit? lol

True but they have Wilson and two great WRs against our bad news bears backfield... advantage them. No real pressure and back up DBs means Wilson & Co is gonna have a field day. Shanny needs to keep that run game going and shorten the game for us to have a shot.

their D isnt great either. we can pass. but no deebo sucks.

whats scary about their backfield?
On paper, it's hard to see an outcome where Russ doesn't go wild running circles in the backfield before throwing bombs to Lockett & Metcalf.

But then again, on paper, it looked like Donald was going to rape our offensive line and cause havoc. It also looked like Cam Newton was going to run all over our defense.

Point being, with how Shanny has these guys playing anything could happen. This is a must win for us if we are going to contend. The most important game of the year. If they can pull this off I'll be so proud.

The scariest thing about their backfield is really just Wilson. The D cant get pressure in base and if Wilson evades the blitzer he is smart enough to just take off to the vacated area for 5-10 yards. Long drives by the niners offense will help but imo the key will be if the blitzes land, if they dont then it will be another backyard football Wilson classic.

the Cards had success blitzing though with like a cornerback or something. any time our d-line was able to get around the edge and pressure Wilson he'd just escape in between and gash us.

call me crazy but having a pass rush that isn't able to get around the edge and clog up the middle instead might have benefit us lol

Its definitely a benefit if there is a good push up the middle so Im hoping you are right and the D line is up to the task or more importantly whoever is blitzing makes the tackle when its there. Just hard not to envision Wilson doing Wilson-things against our D-line that is struggling to get pressure.

I've been saying this since Bosa and Ford got hurt!
The niners are finally hitting their stride. Maybe pre season and ample practice is needed.

If that was the case then wouldn't the other teams also be hitting their stride. The defense has surprised me the way they hang in there but let's be honest about the wins we've had. Other than the Rams, we haven't beat a good team yet. I don't know if we can contain Wilson's runs or his passing. That was an absolutely perfect throw he made on that late TD where he dropped it in between the defender and the end line. There aren't many QBs that can make that throw. I'm also concerned about staying with Metcalf. His size and speed could cause our beat up DBs some real problems. I couldn't believe the speed he showed on that INT where he ran down Baker who had at least a 1015 yard head start.
