If that was the case then wouldn't the other teams also be hitting their stride. The defense has surprised me the way they hang in there but let's be honest about the wins we've had. Other than the Rams, we haven't beat a good team yet. I don't know if we can contain Wilson's runs or his passing. That was an absolutely perfect throw he made on that late TD where he dropped it in between the defender and the end line. There aren't many QBs that can make that throw. I'm also concerned about staying with Metcalf. His size and speed could cause our beat up DBs some real problems. I couldn't believe the speed he showed on that INT where he ran down Baker who had at least a 1015 yard head start.
The Seahawks barely beat the Patriots, Cowboys and Vikings...gtfo.
I could argue that the only good team they have played is the cardinals and they lost. All that glitters ain't gold.

I love my niners as much as the next guy but your setting yourself up for heartbreak if you think we got a shot. I would absolutely love to be wrong
i mean we DO have a shot. wtf you talking about. that the niners should just bow down and forfeit? lol
Seattle isn't some unbeatable force lol. What a joke.

Yeah, for the last few years I've thought that Wilson was clearly losing a step and wasn't the threat he used to be. But then there are games like yesterday, where he rattles off a couple huge runs and looks pretty damn spry. He's definitely not as fast as he was in his first few years, but he's still more than capable.

I think there might be something to this. Dont try to be cute and roll a safety over at the last second and drop a defensive end in coverage. If you're gonna go after Russ, you can't play games.
Agreed. Also, his best trait is his deep ball. I'm wondering if those blitzes helped limit his deep shots (i.e. receivers didn't have enough time for their downfield routes to develop). Now that I think about it, I don't remember any deep pass attempts in overtime.

Thought occured to me that one of these days he might get a hip/leg injury on a QB slide.Dude is not always perfect but he is a gamer.I don't wish anyone injury but the NFC looks wide open this year, especially without Russell.

As much as people talk s**t about Wilson the fact is, is that he has been the best QB in the division since he arrived in the league.

True but they have Wilson and two great WRs against our bad news bears backfield... advantage them. No real pressure and back up DBs means Wilson & Co is gonna have a field day. Shanny needs to keep that run game going and shorten the game for us to have a shot.
their D isnt great either. we can pass. but no deebo sucks.
whats scary about their backfield?

the Cards had success blitzing though with like a cornerback or something. any time our d-line was able to get around the edge and pressure Wilson he'd just escape in between and gash us.
call me crazy but having a pass rush that isn't able to get around the edge and clog up the middle instead might have benefit us lol
They utilized some timely zone blitzes but they still got lit up. They fully deserved to lose last night.

Nobody should be talking s**t about RW. Dude is big time ! Awesome player and not an a*****e off the field. He's so talented he could easily have played baseball too.
I hate Seattle with a passion but nothing but respect for Wilson

I mean.....is that really saying much? The NFCW quarterbacks when Russell arrived were Alex Smith, Sam Bradford and Kevin Kolb. LOL

Which is
irrelevant to the quality of their play, once they were inserted as QB1

Just saying. At the
time, it
appeared they would be
special players.
Sorry.. I wanted to be bold, too.

Who do we root for tonight? I know Rams are in our division but I figure Packers will win their division so we may be battling Chicago for a possible wild card and they only have one loss. What do you guys think?
