Kind of like mcvay getting rid of goff. We will see if shanny is savy enough to dump garapollo. That's the difference between a good coach and great coach.

When did that happen? Cardinals went to the NFCCG once and got wrecked by Carolina. He didn't look so savvy then.

Delhomme was legit bro

That was Newton.

This Super Bowl is kinda proving that OL pass protection is nearly as important as the QB.

I'm guessing Shanalynch stick with Jimmy for 2021 and beef up the OL.

Game is still won in the trenches even with all the new rules.

To be fair, that was two back up tackles going up against two stud pass rushers, and even the two interior guys are studs. That's a Four Horsemen kind of defensive line. Three HIGH first round picks, along with Shaq Barrett.

Simply having their starters in would have helped tremendously. The drop in talent from top third quality tackles to back ups is huge.

In other words, our offensive line is not NEARLY as bad as the Chiefs offensive line was today with their injuries. We need a good guard, a new center (Alex Mack hopefully), and for McGlinchey to get a little better. Oh, and resign Williams. We do that, and our line is absolutely fine. As such, I don't think we should be spending the 12th on an offensive linemen unless we lose Trent Williams.

this offseason will be a good one

The chiefs should be 0-2!

I feel like the NFL figured it couldn't go wrong with whatever team won so the refs had no bias and it but KC in the ass. Last year it was an obvious "passing of the torch" moment when the NFL thought Brady was done.

Last year, we got stuck with Bill Vinovich (who really shouldn't have gotten the game based on screwing up the Rams/Saints NFC Championship).

He doesn't call holding penalties all that often. His crew was dead last in 2019.

Holding, next to pass interference, is the one penalty that can massively impact a game if not called. If the OL is getting away with it, the QB has all day to throw.

It changes the dynamic of a game.

It was that's why we got our leader faster than the bucs did theirs.

We just choked it away. Mostly on kwon alexander and shanahan. Some in garapollo playing average. Its mostly on shanny though for putting kwon out there when he sucked then choking the lead away.

We were only up 2 scores. If we were up 3 scores, We probally win.

If the refs throw the flag at this BS, the 49ers probably win.

Yep I'm bitter and I don't care.

Arians and brady are way more savy than garapollo and shanny. I mean they also didn't have kwon playing and blowing like 5 crucial tackles also. But yeah, we choked it away.

Yeah Arians looked pretty savvy in Arizona when he was getting his s**t pushed in every single year in the playoffs. He's a good coach but I'm easily taking Shanahan over him.

Brady definitely goes over Garoppolo, no doubt about that but as we saw, it doesn't matter who you have back there if you can't pass protect. The Chiefs have the supposed second coming at QB and he looked more like Jim Everett than the future GOAT tonight.
Arians was a below average coach with a very good roster and a soul-sucking QB last year. I don't think Brady put up with that nonsense, and he had enough clout to establish a culture, even if he didn't have to be extremely verbal about it.

If we play Kansas City without their two tackles we would've smoked them.
If you took away just the 4th quarter of last years SB what would Mahomes stats look like in the other 7?

Kyle haters have arrived and on schedule.

Not haters..just pointing out the fact that his ego and idiot playcalling cost us number 6

Jimmy missing reads, especially on two key red zone third downs, and missing Sanders is what cost us 6. But Jimmy truthers wouldn't see it even if you play the tape in slow motion where he misses the wide open guys and throws short, costing us 8 points in a game we had a ten point lead in the 4th quarter of.

They'd be 1-3 if they lost last year.

They lost SB 1 to Green Bay
They beat Minnesota in SB 4
Beat us last year
Lost to Tampa this year
Arians deserves credit because he embraced the Brady way and that's to sell out to win it all. They brought in Gronk, Brown, Fournette and all 3 of those guys scored touchdowns for them today.

I don't think our organization would make those kind of moves as we'd see them as bad for image/ locker room/ or just not needed.

They were up 3 scores like us and had a 5+ minute drive to start the 4th quarter. It was over when they gave them the ball back with 8:12 up 3 scores. That's savy that we didn't have.

We were only up 2 scores. If we were up 3 scores, We probally win.

If we had the refs that reffed tonight's game and actually knew what they were doing we would have won last year and it wouldn't have even been close. It would have been the same as tonight was. KCs defense is garbage.
