I am just glad I am not a gambler, never thought the Bucs had a chance. But, you have to give some credit to their D, the pass rush was relentless and the secondary's coverage was equally impressive.

Yes, that's true. But in those three quarters, our subpar QB couldn't capitalize, which allowed the Chiefs to hang in the game. He just didn't see the open guys, and it cost us on huge third downs in the red zone. So, if Jimmy is going to be here next year, he needs to get a lot better at seeing the field.

And also he needs to correct his fundamentals so he can properly use his lower body correctly to help with his down field passes.

We were only up 2 scores. If we were up 3 scores, We probally win.

If we had the refs that reffed tonight's game and actually knew what they were doing we would have won last year and it wouldn't have even been close. It would have been the same as tonight was. KCs defense is garbage.

If you have a bunch of savy veterans, brady, gronk, brown, etc your going to get more calls. Its part of the game. The reffing this game was better than ours though. We should have won in spite of the reffing though.

I don't disagree. A few calls wouldn't have hurt the cause though.

To underscore the point, if Ford were healthy, the result would most likely have been different. Dline is huge

So can we agree this team should invest their capital to keep improving the trenches and not trading the farm for Watson?

We need to improve both the o-line and the QB.

Bills will make it tough, feature back away from being right there. Singletary and Moss are not the answer.

Yes we can use an upgrade at QB (Whether it's a new one or just Jimmy improving)but we don't need a top 5 QB to win a SB.

Lol. f**k the chiefs and their stupid fans. Refs gave them the game last year. They're just bitter this game was actually reffed correctly.

This.

The only difference between this call and tonight was that KC was called for it.

Jimmy missing reads, especially on two key red zone third downs, and missing Sanders is what cost us 6. NVM

overthrew him by 5 yards. what are you saying

The overthrow was NOT the biggest mistake he made.

He made two MASSIVE errors, and THOSE are the ones that cost us the game.

1. On third and five on our first trip to the red zone, he threw a RB angle route that was incomplete. On that play, BOTH come back routes were open, beyond the first down marker, and that drive stays alive. That's four points we lost.

2. On another third down, later in the game, Kittle breaks wide open. Jimmy is LOOKING AT HIM earlier in the play, and could have clearly seen where the defense was opening up. Instead, he drops his eyes to a running back who is blanketed, throws it, and it's short of the marker. We kick another field goal. Four more points down the drain.

If that three point lead with a few minutes left is eleven, even Shanahan would be running the ball.

Nah the thing that people overlook about the sanders play is that it was such a stupid play to begin with.

Even if sanders catches it it leaves mahomes with a huge amount of time to score again even if he scores. It was an idiot call even if he completes it. The shanny homers blame garapollo but it was a stupid play even if he completes it.

We needed to milk time and score. Not let mahomes get the ball back. That's all on shanny eating his own hype sandwich thinking he's smarter than everybody else. It was a dumb play even if it worked.

I must be forgetting something about that game

Your talking the 3rd and 10 bomb to sanders where garapollo overthrew him? Yeah that was a dumb play even if he completes it for the reasons above.

If your talking a different play I would have to know which one.

The 49ers were down 24-20 at that point. You take points then take your chances. Calling it dumb is... a take.

It was a low percentage play leaving a ton of time in the clock. We needed to milk clock leave no time and score. Not score quick when th defense was tired and then give it back to mahomes when all he needed was a fg.

But I mean if you think we would have stopped mahomes from getting a fg even if we scored versus giving him not time and scoring there's nothing for me to say.

It was a dumb play.

I think this game proves what a lot of people have been saying after our season ended, the line must be addressed and upgraded. You can have mahomes at QB and it wouldn't even matter if he has pressure in his face all day. Resign Trent Williams, pick up Alex Mack in FA and find a replacement for LG and RT in the draft or trade. McGlinchey can't be the answer he has regressed every year since being drafted. Tomlinson has been solid I think he should keep his RG spot.

Tomlinson plays LG. McGlinchey has only had one down year and that was this season. Not sure what he did to prep for it but he needs to add some good weight and come back ready to play, especially if he wants a nice new contract from someone.

The main issue is and has been C as long as they bring back Williams. Due to the Richburg injury, they had to throw out Garland in the SB last year and he got used and abused by Chris Jones all game long. Alex Mack is practically begging the 49ers to sign him, a reliable, veteran center that stays healthy and knows the offense. They should do that along with drafting a future replacement for him in a draft class loaded at the position.

I think Kyle wants to walk a tight rope with light on their feet Olinemen and fatass mauler pass protectors. His qb will not have all day to throw the ball on most passing plays.
love it
