And then they become motivated to be aggressive at upgrading at the QB position. We all love Jimmy G but we know we can do better (talent wise and health wise. Especially health wise).

Lmao
thafa what you got from watching this game??
ok then

Is it the wrong lesson to take away from the game when the team that brought in Tom Brady won the Super Bowl?

The lesson from this game is that you don't need to trade away Jimmy. You need to make the players around Jimmy better.
Did anybody realistically think brady was going to crumble once they got the lead? He's only ever even faltered against the manning's. Give him a lead in the playoffs and it's goodnight.

The ravens got lucky that one year and he faltered every other loss where he had the lead was against the manning's.

This! F KC! Their O-line held all night just like last SB.

If you have an elite qb your always in it every year. Look at the Packers just throwing draft picks away every year and the Seahawks. There in the mix every year.

If your qb is average you can win a superbowl but every other player has to be good around them and the window is small.

Usually the around talent gets wasted or you win maybe one superbowl. Rarely are there multiple wins without an elite qb.

Is Brady still physically elite? I would say physically Brady and Jimmy are about the same.

That's a little scary since they're like 15 years apart in age. Yikes.

The point is that it's stupid to trade away Jimmy when you have glaring holes on the team.

Wilson's not physically elite. Nor is breeze. They have the intangibles though that make them elite. They're elite between the ears.

There's plenty of guys that should have won sb because if physical traits. Look at cam newton. The dude was bigger faster stronger than anybody but didn't win a sb. The intangibles are what make qbs elite.

You can win Superbowls with average qbs it's just way harder and usually you don't. Every piece around then has to be good.

If your qb is elite then your always in the playoffs.bthe Packers might as well be just throwing picks away with how they draft but because rogers there always in it.bsamebwith the Seahawks. Drafting penny in the first round. The Packers drafting a qb in the first round.

Its a clown fest but because they have an elite qb it doesn't matter.

Lol the point is our window closed you mean. We wasted our talent on jimmy and it didn't work out. Much as people want to believe we're on the bottom side of the nfc west. We lost key pieces. Our online is in shambles. We don't have buck any more. Boss recovering from surgery.

Out window shutting not opening. We had a great team with average qb now we either need to reload the entire roster or find a qb who will keep us in the mix every year. One of the two. Its a lot harder for a qb to carry when the offensive line is garbage too.

It just doesn't look pretty for us in general
The Bucs did what the Niners should've done in SB 54. One difference is the Bucs are used to playing in the warm & humid Tampa weather. Another difference is TB has an excellent OL. They pushed the Chiefs' defense around and gave Brady enough time to throw. They continued to run the ball when Shanahan didn't in the 2nd half. Even though didn't throw deep much, the threat of Brady being able to do that was key. The Niners need to improve the OL...it's that simple. They also need more receivers who can be difference makers. They'll need to get Bosa some real help to rush the passer. They'll need to upgrade the QB position with someone who can make all the throws, from anywhere on the field. They need to strengthen the defensive backfield. Sounds like a tall order, but with some shrewd trades, cuts, contract restructures, etc. and killing the draft they can do it.
