Media crying about the refs pisses me off. What are rules for if they aren't enforced? Just because it's the super bowl, doesn't make it any different from any other NFL game. Guarantee if it was a non chiefs team, media wouldn't even mention it.

TB12 may have said something that Mathieu didn't want to repeat. I'm guessing a homophobic slur but now we will find out if it's true

He erased it right after someone commented that TB was mic'd up. So he probably didn't think about that and wanted to not get called out on a lie

Maybe but it's not like the league would release audio of Tom Brady saying anything derogatory.

Garoppolo would have been sacked 15 times in the same situation.

Ahhh I see what you did there..
mahommes sucked ass but to build him up a bit you bash jimmy... classy

I love the people saying Jimmy dealt with the same pressure last year that Mahomes did when Mahomes was pressured a Super Bowl record 29 times.

There has literally never been a more thorough ass whooping given to an offensive line in terms of pass pro in Super Bowl history.

Hopefully Jimmy G will spend the offseason with his "big brother" and relearn some things.

Like what? He could sleep with Tom (sorry Gisselle) and it wouldn't help. It's not between the ears with Jimmy. He just can't stay healthy and I don't think Brady can do anything about that.
Does he work out with Brady's QB coach in the off season?

You guys have forgotten, when Jimmy came here, he looked like Brady. He threw like Brady. He acted like Brady. He had the poise of Brady. He WON like Brady. Something happened that messed that up. I don't know if Kyle got in his head or something, but whatever it is, Jimmy needs to get back with Tom in the offseason, and get back to the mentality he had before got here. The 49ers front office needs to apologize for the crappy protection they gave him with that offensive line. Stop all this trade talk nonsense and focus on winning the line of scrimmage O-line and D-line.

What happened is that defenses got film on him and realized he is no threat on passes outside the numbers and down the field. Good old cover 1 mostly controls him.

And the reason why he struggles in that is fundamentals. You know the cool thing he does throwing short off platform, where he throws with all arm? He does that (without the side arming) on every throw. Sometimes he does the little fade away thing to avoid a hit but still get the ball out, and on shorter distance passes he can hit that more often than not, and it's highlight worthy.

But it doesn't seem to register to him that he needs to have a good base to throw down field, and the result is erratic down field accuracy.

I do have a hypothesis: the reason he does it is because he's compensating for seeing things a little late. That may not be it, but the film doesn't lie, and what the film shows is poor fundamentals causing poor control on down the field passes.

EDIT - He also fails to see the whole field, but maybe experience will improve that.

TB only blitzed 10% of the time too. It's rough playing the best d line in football without 3 starters on the line. 1st time Patrick didn't have the answer

A bit of that pressure was on Mahomes who loves to scramble 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage putting unnecessary pressure on his blockers.

That's funny, I didn't see Mahomes speared in his head with a no call roughing the passer.

I didn't see Mahomes being hit late out of bounds, again no penalty.

Mahomes didn't have to deal with the type of officiating Jimmy G and the 49ers went through last year. And guess what, he still choked hard!!!

You would think Pat Mhomes being so good wouldn't need all these excuses.
