One wrong call completely flipped the gane for them. Now was it intentional? Yep. These are the things that get very little coverage during the week of game highlights, and it's hurting the game if you ask me.

Week 9 update. Flawless game today (again) by KCs Oline. No holding calls on 45 dropbacks. So for the season 4 holds on 335 dropbacks. Now I'm not sure what the league average is, also they're not calling as much holding. But approaching 1 hold per 100 dropbacks. Seems pretty f**king ridiculous.
FootballDb.com says the Chiefs have 9 offensive holding calls (7th-most in the NFL).
NFLPenalties.com says the Chiefs have 13 offensive holding calls (3rd-most in the NFL).
NFL holding calls are down across the board. You can keep posting these numbers all you want, but without context (i.e. knowing how much the rest of the league is being penalized) it's totally arbitrary.

Yeah I am curious too. How many of the calls are on run plays vs pass plays?

I don't how to fix these calls but I think the penalties are too severe and thus influence the game.
Most penalties including pass interference should be a 5 yard penalty and a redo of the down. No automatic first down unless the 5 yards give them a first down. I think that would be pretty fair.

Yeah, there are a lot of calls that are odd. A holding by an OL is a 10 yard penalty (huge) but offsides on the defense is 5. Automatic first downs...why? OPI and DPI should both be 15 yards not spot fouls. I'm sure there's a bunch of others.

I agree. It completely deflated our team. It deflated me. I didnt even wanna watch the game anymore. Football is all about momentum, especially when you're not a good football team like we are.
That was worse than the one a few years ago when Ahmad Brooks barely tapped Brees' helmet.

NFL so rigged, 4 holding calls against Colts on their last possession against NFL darling Rodgers. Oh yeah, those 4 holding calls, pretty much equals the total number against the Chiefs on the season. Ridic. Thats 9 holding calls on Colts in one game. Ok. Lol

But watching the replays they were clearly holding.

Probably, but how many of those are called or not called depending on the team? It just seems kind of weird to have 9 holding calls on one team in one game when the chiefs have a total of 4 holding calls in NINE games.

I just count the holding calls on Mahome's dropbacks. Not on running plays.

Raiders and Chiefs gave up 0 sacks. NFL made it a priority to call less holding.

Facts are that I am only tracking holding calls on dropbacks. Just like tonight only on DROPBACKS (ie pass plays) there were zero holding calls, making 4 total on 380 dropbacks for the season. Feel free to go back and look at the play by play, that's were I get the stats. I do know that at least two of the KC total holds are on special team plays.

Thereby also minimizing the importance of a good pass rush. Sucks.

I wish they could challenge holding because there are too many that are not called on. I literally saw KC holding someone's hand and pulling him back lol.
