Does this season's SB champs already have an asterisk*??

Only if you're a fan of a looser team.

What, are you saying teams that don't win championships are more promiscuous?
and now we can't even play home games. what a joke this season has become.
No. Whomever wins Super Bowl LV their title will be as legitimate as any other that came before it.

One thing folks will need to wrap their brains around is the idea that sooner than we think a time may yet come when these games are not played at all.

2020 will come to be seen as a mild or even a good year in comparison to years we will experience in the future.

Just saying that we probably won't see another 55 Super Bowls.
The saints will beat the Broncos tomorrow without QB, and if they get home field advantage by one game, it's already tainted.
Not if the Chiefs repeat.

So this just adds to my point earlier. The NFL has now accommodated the Titans, Chiefs and now the Ravens by pushing their games back due to COVID concerns but felt it was okay to leave the Niners shorthanded on their Thursday night matchup.

Hope the Super Bowl champs this year enjoy their asterisk as much as the Lakers are.

The NBA was played in a bubble. There is no asterisk to the Lakers' championship. All teams had equal playing conditions.

The NFL on the other hand is such a giant POS this year. Between some teams having fans and some others, the league accommodating some teams and not others and just generally a s**t product all the way around.

The NFL has been going downhill or years now. Expanding the playoffs, diluting the product by trying to add more games, rule changes to make it impossible to touch a QB, rule changes to make it impossible to play defense and I could go on and on.

There is a huge asterisks for the NBA Champs if for no other reason than the 4 1/2 month break they took between their last meaningful regular season games and the playoffs. That break was the equivalent of an entire standard offseason which kind of made the regular season a bit irrelevant. It effectivly took the season long grind and subsequent exhausting pedal-to-the-metal playoff push out of the equation. And those 8 regular season games played during the restart were treated like preseason games for most teams that were already locked in to the playoffs. And if those players felt the isolation and restrictions were tough on them, and most were only there only a handful of weeks, then its safe to say they have lived pretty privileged lives.

At least the MLB played their abbreviated schedule straight through and even added to the post season to compensate. The NBA on the other hand was complete joke of a restart.

At first I was like no asterisk. But after the NFL has seemingly chosen who to screw over due to the rona it starting to look like b******t. Like they are bending over backwards for the Ravens but forced the Broncos to play. That's complete and udder horses**t.

That's a lot of doom and gloom. Do you write for CNN on the side?

No, I'm just a little more tuned into reality than the people who rely on state media (aka the MSM) for their news. Reality is not all peaches and cream. Football and many other avenues for escape are and always have been nothing but a circus to keep us (the peasants) amused and concentrating on BS. TPTB want this circus to keep going to keep the people entertained for as long as possible so we're not paying attention as they screw us over and the bread runs out. Plenty of bread right now, but sadly both the circus and the availability of bread will end at some point sooner than we should like or expect.
No to the asterisk.
Every team was up against Covid in the same manner. It's equivalent to avoiding injuries.

For me, it'll depend on which team wins it this season … as the NFL, is already suspect in the manner
by which they conduct business when it comes to the treatment of certain players / franchises
🤔
What happened in Denver yesterday was a monumental F'up and Goodell should be fired immediately.

For what happened to us and Denver. Basically handed the Saints and arguably GB (not that I think we win w/o JG) a free win. And the Denver game occurred while they're pushing the Ravens back. I love football for the game, but under Goodell the NFL resembles the WWE more and more with every passing season.
no asterisk.

I bet if we were contending and in the thick of the race we wouldn't be even having this conversation. This is no different than a lockout shortage season.

Things happen no excuses

We play to win the game
