but my understanding is our current QB then was HOYER, and we moved up to draft CJ (mid round)... you telling me that YOU did not expect this kid to be our guy??

if that's your belief, then you're basically saying that HOYER was going to be the 49ers starters for years to come and HOPE that CJ will develope?

also, if you're not expecting a mid rounder QB to be the guy, then why trade UP for him?

FANS who loves Shanny uses JIMMY as the excuse.... if Shanny really did not want Jimmy, why didn't he force LYNCH to get COUSINS???

why would it matter how much Cousins will cost, heck, if Shanny believe that Cousins will be the one to take us to the Super Bowl.. NO??

f**k no I didn't expect him to be the future and IF you did, you're being a fool. They gave up a 7th rd pick lol.

They saw an opportunity to get Jimmy and made a move. Things change quickly in the league.

Quit being so dramatic

About 30% of the posts back then had posters talking as if Hoyer/Beathard were the future

drafting Brady in the 6th round tells you that he's a PROJECT and Bill had no idea he was gonna be THIS good...

drafting Montana in the 3rd round tells you that Bill believed that he saw a very good unfinished product that will take over DeBerg..

again, Shanny gets a pass this year.. that's a given... lets all hope he chooses his TRUE QB and see how far he can get..

Jacksonville doesn't even have a long term GM yet.

Doesn't mean they won't take him.

Lol right doesn't mean they won't take a LBer either 🙃

Unless Fields gets hurt he will be the 2nd pick in the draft regardless of who's picking at 2

I'd take Fields, too. But, the chatter is they also like Wilson.

I see the arm and his skills but he's pretty skinny. Feel like durability could be an issue. I doubt he can play well if he's hurt even a little bit.

There is no real chatter imo. Like Phoenix said they don't even have a GM and will more than likely have a new HC.

So I don't even know "who" you'd be talking about? Wilson isn't gonna go 2nd overall & I highly doubt he's the 3 QB taken after it's all said an done.

Same size as Watson & Carr. He's probably gonna end up around 215lbs at like 6-3...people talk about Mac Jones who's the same size (feel like he's got a skinnier lower half as well).

His past surgery on his throwing shoulder should be a concern. I did see it mentioned on some sites due to his throwing motion

Who likes him? The non-existent decision makers? The people who will be making the draft picks for Jacksonville haven't even been hired yet so "the chatter" is meaningless.

Agreed with talking about the past shoulder injury.

Doesn't seem to be an issue at all now BUT that's definitely something that needs to be brought up
