He reminds me of Josh Freeman..
Zach Wilson reminds me of Jay Cutler..
Kyle Trask reminds me of Trubisky and Alex Smith combo..
Lance - everyone just loves his arm and thinks of him as a Mahomes CLONE.. but hard to justify his talent because he didn't play this year..

Maybe a tiny trade up and Wilson would be ours
Definitely possible.
But their GM was not part of the regime that took Darnold and almost certain they will have a new HC who also won't have ties to Darnold.
We will see in time as to which direction they choose to go.

Wilson could go #2 overall to the Jets, it isn't out of the realm of possibility. Nothing Lynch can do in such a scenario so you can't go putting all the eggs in the ZW basket.
If Wilson goes 2, that leaves Fields, who is beastly. Might need more polish, but he's more talented.
Fields thinks you suck

Call me crazy which most will but Zach Wilson reminds me of a Mahomes/Russell Wilson college wise, yup I'm that impressed, I haven't been all in on a QB since Mahomes and Watson. Zach Wilson is what the NFL has turned into, his game is exactly that, why do you think these Oklahoma QBs and Josh Allen are all good to great QBs..QBs that create are succeeding

not to burst your bubbles about SOONERS QB, but they are system QBs .... JUST MY OPINION... can you imagine Kyler when he's in the mid 30s and un-able to run??
you think he's going to be effective even at the offense his running right now?
and if you see Zach as Mahomes and Russell, how much would you be willing to give up in order for you to draft him? I mean, if you were running the show and we have the 10th overall pick..

Honestly I get what you're saying about the Oklahoma QBs but they still get it done while in the pocket, Baker and Hurts, who I think is going to be great ( Hurts not Baker lol ) I'm talking about creating plays which they do, that's what the NFL is, pocket presence and being able to throw accurately on the move, as for Wilson, if we are at 10, to move up 5 spots will prob cost next yrs 1st and a 3rd, maybe a late rounder, I hope, but I do think him in Shanahans O with all the healthy beast we have will be amazing, just imagine off schedule plays, not a QB who's a sitting duck looking afraid and stuck on 1 read

LOL at the Zach Wilson comparison of Mahomes/Russell Wilson. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't worried about Zach Wilson as a prospect.
1. He's had injury concerns (shoulder and hand)
2. Although he was injured in 2019, his numbers were mediocre (62.4% Completion / 11 TD / 9 INT / 7.5 Yards Per Attempt)
3. He isn't exactly being tested against quality competition (Navy, Troy, LA Tech, UTSA, HOU, TXST, WKU, Boise State, UNA, CCU, SDSU)
4. I wasn't overly impressed watching his biggest game this year vs Coastal
I'm not knocking him, I just have legitimate questions. He seems like the type of prospect that has a medium ceiling and a safer floor.
I've had bad things to say about Trey Lance but I'd almost rather take a shot on him if I had to choose between the two. He has some of the similar questions as Wilson but has a higher ceiling.
I'd rather go the route of getting a FA/TRADE QB (Stafford/Wentz). Then take another playmaker on offense or a defensive player with the top 10 pick.
I'm also in the camp of trading whatever it would take to get Lawrence but that is a pipe dream.

To answer your questions:
1) His injuries were all pretty small, and minor yet nagging. Even his shoulder, even though it was a torn labrum on his throwing shoulder it wasn't traumatic and its been repaired. You can see that the results are spectacular and he's not showing any side effects from his shoulder surgery. I think he'll be fine at the pro level with a few extra pounds and learning to slide more often.
2) 30 TDs/ 3 INT this year. He put it all together and its showing.
3) Scout the traits and talent of the player and don't worry so much about the competition. He smoked a great SDSU secondary for 300+ yards and made some impressive throws.
4) Debatable whether which player has the higher ceiling imo. Wilson is a much more polished passer than Lance from my point of view and I see a little Mahomes in his game. Different arm angles, no look passes, the throws off different platforms and on the run. The kid seems like the whole package.
Plus veteran contracts cost a lot more money than rookie deals and I'd like this team to set up for the long term and not just for a few more years with someone like Stafford.

Nice, I agree with his list except maybe #5,
I just started watching Desmond Ridder. This dude is intriguing. I don't know if I'd put him #5 over Mac Jones, tho. I need to watch more.

That's the exact same toss up I have. I watched a few of Ridders games and he definitely has elite traits that can't be taught. Smooth runner. Good arm too but that accuracy always concerns me, but then I see guys like Josh Allen and Justin Herbert who had the same accuracy issues and I didn't like them for it tear up the league. Mac Jones undeniably grew on me cause he just balls week in and week out. Following Tua and the pressure with it is impressive

The draft won't go that way and that's what matters
I'm surprised Jones isn't on the list, I haven't watch Ridder so I got nothing there.

From the 2 games I just watched. I only seen him throw to a secondary receiver twice. The second one being what may have been the worst throw i seen of his. Everything is first read or run.
