Am I the only one who isn't thrilled with that bit of trivia?

I mean young guys gonna do what they're gonna do and that's certainly a baller move in HS but my old man senses are tingling and seeing something like that I worry about if he'd be a party guy.

That's typically why I try to find all I can about a prospect off the field. There's just so much off the field that dictates whether one guy will be a good player or a bust.

For anyone who watched Draft Day...there's a reason tiny things are nitpicked on prospects at times. Especially at QB you want a guy who has tunnel vision and is all about the game for the most part. It means they'll work to improve on their weaknesses and strengthen their strengths.

Yeah I think you are.

I meant the QB class specifically. You had Cam Newton at the top and then you went to Jake Locker, Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert. Lawrence is the only one that really feels like a sure thing to me.

The funny thing, I wasn't thrilled about that class. I loved Cam Newton and hoped we had a shot. In a dream scenario, we could've drafted him and I wanted him to sit for a year and a half, similar to Montana. My realistic pick was Robert Quinn. I thought Locker was trash. Typically inaccuracy in college = inaccuracy in the pros. I know the talent around him wasn't the greatest, but I never liked Locker. I thought Ponder was overdrafted and Gabbert was just a guy IMO. Nothing about those guys save for Newton screamed FQB.

Agreed on Lawrence being the only sure thing.

Trying to bang 2 college cheer leaders is a pretty common urge in teenage boys .

Yeah which is why I said the above but people are throwing that out like that makes him badass and confidence and swag has its uses for QBs but I just want to confirm he's more focused on football than getting his dick wet and partying with cheerleaders.

He went to BYU... I don't think getting laid is his main goal.

I was all about Robert Quinn in that draft. Though I didn't have an issue with Aldon either.

But speaking of Cam...wtf happened to that guy? He is AWFUL for the Pats. My father in law stopped coming over to watch their games cuz he's so bad lol.

When I was his age, it was a blessing to get with a cougar, let alone two of em.

If that's your goal as a college qb BYU wouldn't be the school you'll choose to do that

It is anonymous scout speak time, when I read about potential "entitlement issues." This will be fun to see what else is brought up between now and April.
