Imagine if we would've tanked against the cards . We'd be in much better position to do something.

You call guts at giving 2 firsts and more for a QB that's not going to last 4 years ?
There's guts and there's stupidity
I say McVay/Snead have guts because they accepted that Goff was QB-purgatory and they needed to get rid of him at any cost because thet needed a real upgrade at the position. They knew what they had to do and they did it.
They just gave Goff a huge contract 2 years ago and now they got rid of him because they don´t have these huge egos to stick in QB-purgatory only because they don´t want to accept that they got it wrong.
Oh yeah we have our 1st round picks unlike those stupid Rams right?........yeah those 1st round picks to draft Thomas, Foster, McGlinchey and Kinlaw.
Yeah the Rams are stupid because they upgraded the most important position

So you're mad at a few picks years ago and trying to compare it with the Rams stupid trade of today?
You wanted us to give two firsts for stafford?

Since 2016 the Ram have spent the following draft picks on the QB position :
4 first round picks (2016,2017,2022,2023)
2 second round picks (both in 2016)
3 third round picks (2016,2017,2021)

Drafting this kid could revitalize shanny and the 49ers ala Mahomes with Reid in 2017.

I love Wilson - but, it's going to take a lot to get high enough to draft him.

It's going to take a lot, especially if it's to the Jets, Mahomes cost them an extra 1st and a 3rd. How much more are you willing to give? My bet is you'd need to include a 2nd maybe two and probably an extra 3rd.
There could also be a bidding war. Panthers are very well placed to go and get it done.

🔥🚨NEW MOCK DRAFT🔥🚨
— Joe Marino (@TheJoeMarino) January 31, 2021
In the aftermath of the Rams-Lions trade, the question of "how much will Deshaun Watson cost" has come up. I have an idea, which is the centerpiece of my latest mock draft.
Suddenly, Houston is LOADED with draft picks. #NFLDraft https://t.co/YLc7E9ZoCG
I still believe Fields will be the 2nd QB taken. My only worry is SF won't have the nuts to make the move and a team like the Panthers will...

I agree - it's going to take a lot, but will the team do it?

That's the issue, not sure they have the nuts to do it.

I wrote about this in the QB class thread, but for me it depends how much faith you have in Jimmy. Anymore than 50% you don't do it.
Anymore than 80% you build around him and get a new backup.
If it's less than 50% you've got to make a move. Zach would be my preferred option, but I'm about 65% sold on Jimmy, so while I want another QB in the building, Jimmy would be my starter.

Based on the fact he only plays about 50% of games it is tough to have more than 50% faith in him.
