We're not talking about trading for a RB or a proven all-pro NFL player. Just moving up in the draft.
Give up a 1st, 3rd, 4th in 2021 and a 1st/2rd in 2022 to make it happen...NONE of those picks matter if you get the QB. Kid has Watson like upside and will be dirt cheap for 5 yrs. There isn't a single player you could draft this yr that will be more impactful than a QB. NO CB, OG, EDGE nada.
It totally reshapes your cap space. It let's Kyle actually have a real QB that he can grow with and develop. It gives you immediate cap relief, you ca resign TW, K Williams, Verrett, upgrade at EDGE/C, you don't need those picks because you got vets instead. Go pay Fitz/Mitch/Dalton/Keenum to be the backup.
People are so set on winning the Super Bowl in 2021, its that or bust. Reality is, it's not more than likely not gonna happen. It didn't even happen with our current QB on a loaded roster, why would it be different watered down version?
If we can win 9+ games and get into the playoffs with a rookie QB IMO that's a massive victory. We have something real to build off.
