We're not talking about trading for a RB or a proven all-pro NFL player. Just moving up in the draft.

Give up a 1st, 3rd, 4th in 2021 and a 1st/2rd in 2022 to make it happen...NONE of those picks matter if you get the QB. Kid has Watson like upside and will be dirt cheap for 5 yrs. There isn't a single player you could draft this yr that will be more impactful than a QB. NO CB, OG, EDGE nada.

It totally reshapes your cap space. It let's Kyle actually have a real QB that he can grow with and develop. It gives you immediate cap relief, you ca resign TW, K Williams, Verrett, upgrade at EDGE/C, you don't need those picks because you got vets instead. Go pay Fitz/Mitch/Dalton/Keenum to be the backup.

People are so set on winning the Super Bowl in 2021, its that or bust. Reality is, it's not more than likely not gonna happen. It didn't even happen with our current QB on a loaded roster, why would it be different watered down version?

If we can win 9+ games and get into the playoffs with a rookie QB IMO that's a massive victory. We have something real to build off.

If ZWilson is a good fit for Kyle's offense, then he's a good fit for LaFleur in NYJ. I don't see why NYJ would trade out of that #2 spot.

Cause shouldn't other teams help the 49ers get better?

Because that team overall is trash? They need to rebuild the whole team basically and Darnold with the proper coaching staff could be damn good IMO. I wouldn't hate if SF could get Sam for a 2nd.

But yes Wilson should be on high on their big board.

NO team wants Kyle to have a good QB lol. We all know this.

I swear that's how some people act. Like the "let's trade them AA" as if it's just 49er fans who know the secret that he's not good.
Not sure if Jets would take 2021 1st 3rd 4th and 2022 1st and 2nd to move all the way back to 12.

But if they would and Lynch passed I'd be pissed esp if they are high on Wilson.

If allowed to keep our 2nd would be huge as we could trade back from 44 to recoup the 3rd and/or 4th from the trade up to 2 as well.
Great points. I do hear the jets like Wilson so there that. Imo we will know- they will have to trade Darnold before draft day to get the best value for him.

For all we know maybe Kyle likes Lance or Jones better and there's a somewhat chance one will be there at 12, but certainly cheaper to move up for them instead of 2.

My issue is from picks 2-10 only ONE team isn't in the market for a qb (bengals). We can't say any of the other 8 wouldn't take their hopefully future franchise QB.

I suppose how the new staff views Darnold will impact greatly how they view their #2 overall.

Absolutely, and even if they entertain a trade, they still have the backup option of, well we really like this kid so can just take him, that as well as a potential bidding war raises the price.

I think you're underestimating how bad Gase is! They aren't that far away IMO and they have cap space. FA WR and Edge, maybe CB, hit on one of the Tackle prospects with either their late 1st or early 2nd and they're in business. Watson, Darnold or a huge offer are the only things I can see moving them.

Yeah. Lately I´ve been thinking in getting Darnold for a 2nd and draft Pitts at #12.

Kittle + Pitts + Deebo + Aiyuk + running game would make Darnold look like a competent QB and he´ll be very very cheap.

I know I know. Kyle likes 21 personnel but 12 personnel is the same stuff and having 2 TE´s like those 2 would be a freaking nigthmare for the rest of the league.

This. They have a franchise left tackle in Becton, one of the top DT's in football in Williams, they have some receiving talent with Mims and Crowder, a very good LB in Mosley, some decent safeties too. They are in better shape than the 49ers were when Lynch and Shanahan took over. If they aren't sold on Darnold then I think Wilson would be very appealing and a natural fit for them.

Wilson is a lot quicker than Fields and Lance. Dude snaps that head around quick as f**k and then proceeds to drop a DIME.
