"Not a team captain"

Little Fred defending his QB. I'll take both, plz ty. Teams are so desperate for Zach that they're making s**t up.

Clearly Troy went to Zach's birthday party. We good.

Looks like he wasn't a captain initially but they made him one during the season.

It seems like Zach Wilson will be the consensus QB2 by the time the draft rolls around. That's why I jumped off the wagon about 2 months ago. He's a pipedream. I'll gladly take the Mac, tho.

"You can see that type of arm talent on tape(Aaron Rodgers/Patrick Mahomes)"

I'd really like to know what Chicago sends us in that scenario. Next season's 1st+?

Potentially, I think I'd take a 2nd & 3rd this year as well though.
The Jets hold the key to the top of the draft, if they are keeping Darnold and trading down, then it's on to the highest bidder. I thought that would be the Panthers, but if they really are on Mac Jones, then it could be us.

Obviously Watson could change everything.

I'm pretty confident that Saleh takes Wilson, I think all this them keeping Darnold is BS.

If the plan from the start was not keeping Darnold, it certainly made no sense to admit that. Don't want to give up all trade leverage.

Depends how bad Chicago wants him. If they think he's their franchise QB, this year's second and next year's first could be the price.

It's absolutely not up to Saleh, I'm not even sure he would get anymore of a say than the coach in Draft Day!

No one knows whether or not they'll keep Darnold, I'm not even sure Joe Douglas knows yet, though I'm sure he has a good idea.

Why wouldn't he get a say? That instantly messes up the relationship between the coach and GM. It takes both GM and coach to make a winning team.

Joe Douglas is the only survivor of a house clean, sure he'll want a good working relationship, but at the end of the day it would be "well I hired you, and I sure as hell can fire you"

If Douglas believes in Sam, he'll be their QB.

Also why don't we think Saleh would be on board with Darnold? It's very easy to just blame Gase!

On a side note, thus is why I think coach & GM should be hired together if possible.
The issue is that no one will know whether or not they want Darnold when they pick up the phone on draft Day.

Makes it easy for them to say "well we love Wilson/Fields, so if you want one of them you have to blow us away".

It does make me feel that unless Fields goes #2, either to the Jets or in trade, we're unlikely to get him.
