Everyone keeps mentioning level of competition. If that's the case then Lance should be rated below Wilson

Right?

Nfl gms have proven level of competition for qbs isn't a big deal to them

I'm going to say he'll measure in at 6'2'' in the combine.

This. Josh Allen played no one and had some awful games against the best of the meh teams he did face. Went Top 5 in the draft.

Carson Wentz played on an absolutely stacked NDSU team that owns FCS due to their considerable talent advantage. He missed most of his final season, was still drafted #2.

Now you have Trey Lance who played at the same NDSU juggernaut and is even less accomplished than Wentz was but still being talked about as an early 1st rounder.

Traits matter far more than competition.

Mahomes 6'3
Rodgers 6'2
Wilson 5'11
Fitzpatrick 6'2
Brees 6'0
Carr 6'3
Dak 6'2
Baker 6'1
Watson 6'2
Murray 5'10
Bridgewater 6'2
Stafford 6'3
Lamar 6'2
Jimmy G 6'2

I went by QBR top 20. Only 6 of the top 20 QBR's are taller than 6'3 (Allen, Tannehill, Herbert, Ryan, Brady, Rivers).

As long as they are 6'1 or taller, height is a non-issue....
Seriously, can anyone name a QB that was 6'1 and flopped in part because of height?

Was also 3rd QB taken and is the best of those top three.

Indeed. Wilson possesses the traits, and constantly displays them, that would lead one to believe that he can be a great QB in the NFL. Just cross your fingers and hope we get him. Gotta get into the top 10 or trade up with a team that already has theirs. I'd let him battle for the starting job in camp though and just let him go out and play.

I dont like him as much as the other guys around here but if he has a great game tomorrow night vs 21 boise st hes probably a lock top 15
So is this the part where I let the non-CFB people know Boise State, despite their ranking, has a trash D and its a lock for Wilson to have a big game?

The only good D he is going to face with current schedule is SD State

Keep an eye on a new game appearing next week.....CAL may back out of ASU game. BYU has an opening. ASU-BYU were scheduled to originally play this year. This, gentleman, could be the College Football God's work.
Gone by the time we pick

As in, setting up Shanahan's eyeballs in Wilson's direction? I do like the sound of that. Yes indeedy. Whomever we have to leapfrog to grab him, they'll do it.
