well if they don't land Lawrence, Fields, Lance, or Wilson, then I think that is pretty much checkmate regardless

PFF mocks are silly....here's a mock this time last yr. It's purely based off analytics which is nice but not the full picture when doing a mock IMO.

I'm officially on board. Went through and watched the last few games i recorded from BYU and he definitely reminds me a lot of Jimmy's strengths and doesn't have the same weaknesses.
Looks like Jimmy from 2017 but with more zip on the ball. Will be very curious where we end up picking and how the draft boards shake out.
I don't see us trading up for a QB with Kyle as HC but I hope he feels confident enough about his job to risk it with one of these talented QBs and coach them up and let them rock with our talent.
Side note - invest heavy in OL and fix that middle.

He's gonna have to take that risk at some point, I would venture to guess. Enough with the veteran retreads, go with the young talent and let him just go out and make plays with his arm. Wilson has all the tools to be great, and I really hope that Lynch pushes Shanahan to go get him, even if it means trading up for him a few spots.

Yeah I mean if we can trade back into the 1st for a LB (Foster) and trade up in the 1st for a WR (Aiyuk), I can't see why we wouldn't trade up for a potential franchise QB.

Exactly right. If it comes at the cost of a future 1st round pick, that is more than worth it for the chance at having a blue chip QB that can be here for 10+ years. That more than returns the value lost of trading away the pick.

My plan as of today
Trade Jimmy to the highest bidder for a top 75 pick.
All in on Zach Wilson or Lance. Move up if need be (use future 1st and Jimmy pick if you have too).
resign Trent, Hyder, Garland, Verrett, Moseley (RFA), givens (RFA) and let guys like Tarrt/Sherm/Juice/K'won test the waters before offering them something. of the bunch I would want Juice/K'Won back. Extend Warner and Tomlinson.
Figure out the health of Ford/Richburg and go from there. Ford possibly becomes a post june-1st cut. Same with Richburg.
sign a edge rusher on a short-term deal like Tarkk or Kerrigan. Corey Linsley/Andrews are options at center (there's actually a lot there). maybe go after Keanu Neal at SS. Grab a middle of the road vet CB.
Use the remaining draft picks (should have a 2nd/4th/3 5ths etc) on CB/OL/DB. I like Tyler Linderbaum out of Iowa as a mid round IOL to groom for either center/RG. Possibly a day 1 RG starter. He's a bulldog. Some solid C3 DBs and we need some speed on the outside at EDGE.
Getting a QB is the #1 priority

^^ Keanu Neal is my free agent hopeful for next offseason.
But I say we keep Jimmy unless we get an offer for at least a 2nd or 3rd. Keep him one more season or trade him before the deadline.

He'd fit in perfect, perpetually injured

1) Contingency plan if nobody trades for Garoppolo?
2) Say SF makes the move for a QB in the draft.......do they start Day 1? If not...who does?
