Agreed. Smart move by him. He can see if they have something there with D'Arnold. Regardless of how it went in NY, he WAS regarded as a first round pick in 2018. I thought the price was steep, but I suppose he's betting on his ability to develop D'Arnold. With that said, it's no pressure on their part. If a QB falls to them, great. If one doesn't, he can get one of the receivers. The interesting thing is, now Carolina has to make the decision on that 5th year option.
I'm not understanding this the Jets will ruin Zach Wilson talk. They've got a pretty good offensive staff there. I also like that Saleh is bringing in younger coaches. Leonard Hankerson is an offensive assistant- are we THAT old? Some of the takes being made are just silly. Wilson is going to get some of the best offensive coaching and NY is off to a good start. My guess is that they go O-line with the second pick. Now will he be the starter day 1? I wouldn't if I were them (save for Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck type of readiness, I'd sit virtually all rookie QBs). But Wilson is going into a far better situation than Sam D'Arnold did. And that is no disrespect to Todd Bowles. I just don't think he had the offensive staff in place to develop a rookie QB.
Dude...it's just Darnold. Stop trying to make him seem fancy.
I keep picturing him with a french beret and smoking a cigarette

I'm not sure how this guy is the consensus #2. I hope the Jets don't take Fields and Wilson ends up being a bust

Wilson must be so depressed, because the Jets are a garbage franchise.

They appear to have a decent coaching staff and GM, a ton of draft picks and some good young talent on the roster. I think he'll be fine there.
The #Jets and #Dolphins essentially did the same thing:
— NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) April 5, 2021
*Fired Gase
*Hired defensive minded coach who is loved by players
*Trade QB (Darnold/Tannehill) for draft capital
*Trade safety (Minkah/Adams) for 1st(s)
*Draft QB with top-5 pick.
*Have double 1s & double 2s the next year.

Everyone was looking for the next Joe Montana and then Brett Favre and Brady snuck through. Then everyone looking for the next Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers snuck through.
Light Bulb!!! When everyone is looking one way, Kyle is looking the other!! Mac Jones!

Really tired of the media pretending like Zach Wilson is an upgrade when Sam Darnold was making the exact same throws all year pic.twitter.com/WLRAsoub0e
