Geez...two games in.

He's not wrong about the Oline. Wilson sat in a nice comfortable pocket at BYU. He's seeing more pressure than he's prepared for right now.

Wilson just like Fields in Chi is playing like they have all day back there at their respective colleges. Let's see if adjustments are made or if this is who they are as QB's.

It's interesting to see how guys develop...or don't in this league.

Neither one has been given a real chance.

Agreed....lets see how they do or don't develop.

Between the two right now I see fields having a better shot. At least it's not all on him to figure it out unlike Wilson who doesn't even have an experienced backup behind him.

The first round is historically littered with bad NFL QB's who were stars in college.

Yeah, and I hate to think how many of them could have been legitimately great quarterbacks had they not been drafted into s**tty situations that hampered their development and destroyed whatever confidence they had.
Worst QB in the league. Leading the league in INT along with generational talent Lawrence. Ya Jets are awful but because of him they aren't even remotely competitive, even Darnold was better. People need to stop making excuses for these kids that are drafted so high. Herbert did great this first year and went to an awful team with a much worse coach than the Jets have.

Let's see how he does against the Titans...hopefully gets the Jets at least 3 points

lmao. Chargers were not an awful team, they just had a bunch of injuries that year, and a lot of bad luck. they lost a couple of games by 3 or less points and some by barely a TD. 7-9 is not awful when you take into account all their injuries, as a 49er fan you should understand how injuries can be a big problem.

Jets are very bad, Jags are very bad, i am really not surprised so far that neither of those QBs are doing well.

The Chargers were more like the 49ers pre-Harbaugh. Talent was not their issue. You can't look at a team with Joey Bosa, Derwin James, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and others and say that they were suffering from a lack of talent.

It's definitely a game of chance. Going to the wrong organization puts an end to many careers.

Wow. I haven't seen a complete JETS game so I can't say it's all him. But looking at just the stats…He sucks! I really wanted Wilson to be our QB. So do you guys really think Wilson was Shanahan choice and If so would he be this bad with Shannys offense?

I think he'll get better as the season goes on. Remember you got a rookie head coach, rookie OC and a rookie QB all trying to put it together. I look at them and see the 2005 49ers all over again. What Saleh should've done is get him a seasoned OC to be on the safe side. But the Shanahan system seem to be the right choice I can't really fault him for bringing Mike LaFleur over to NY.
Effortless 60 yards thru the air.

Now, this is a flash.

If he ever gets a real set of WRs….

They've got a couple of decent ones in Davis and Crowder but Denzel Mims has had a major regression from the flashes he showed as a rookie. They could really use a good TE to work the middle of the field.

It frustrates me so much how little Shanny takes deep shots in games.

Jimmy effect? He went deep with Ryan.
