safe to call him a bust at this point? does anyone think this kid is going to lead his team to a super bowl one day.
No one in this forum at the beginning of the season would have said that Gardner Minshew as a backup QB would outplay him and beat him in a game.

you are joking right?

To early to call him a bust but just right to call him a disappointment.

I think even that is premature. He is a rookie on a bad team with completely new coaching staff. This is what happens to even the best rookie QBs in their first year. There is too much talent there to make a negative assessment now.

You can't ignore the results or lack there of so far IMO.

you really can't ignore it at the end of the day. he looks awful guys. Flat out missing easy checkdowns multiple times a game and throwing multiple picks a game (4 against the pats some of which were beyond WTF throws). His athleticism really isn't translating at the NFL level where everyone is faster. He's slight of build making him much more injury prone (already out multiple weeks with a knee injury). Most importantly decision making is very poor and I don't see that changing anytime soon (loves big play hero ball stuff way too much and fails to convert most of the time).

He's a BUST confirmed now.

Pretty much called it as it is in my earlier post. Since then, he has had another knee injury. Throws god awful interceptions. Misses easy checkdowns and throws. Very poor decision making. Athleticism is definitely not translating either.

Let's add now that the locker room hates him and he has no leadership qualities. Honestly any team stupid enough to actually trade for him or god forbid make him their starter next year no matter how desperate deserves to lose and have their GM/coach fired.

He should be out of the NFL in a few years.

He was so awful against the Jags. Lawrence was so much better. Looks like Lawrence is the only good QB to come out of the 2022 draft. Fields, Jones and Lance have only shown to be so so.

Don't even put Lance in this as he has not even had his chance yet. Talking about a premature ejaculation! You can't keep a woman happy like that!
Hers's a kid who seemed to have it all, swag, looks and talent. Only problem, he's with an organization that has no concept of grooming a QB.

Fields has been excellent.

At some point it's the player. Wilson has been disappointing by any standard. He looks like he's regressed since college. Not sure the Jets will find any takers at his current salary but if they cut him, I wpuldnt be upset to see the 49ers take a shot at him, give Kyle a reclamation project to work on long term.

The Jets go through QBs in bunches. The right coaching could go a long way in unlocking whatever potential.
I've watched a decent amount of Jets games this season, and this guy misses open receivers by such a wide margin. The inaccuracy is soooo bad it's baffling. If he's dropped by the Jets, he'll get snatched up quick based on physical talents.

at this point Lawrence seems like the only QB worth the draft slot. And Purdy

"cough" Josh Rosen "cough"
Obviously he would've been better, maybe great bc of the coaching and team atmosphere with us if we drafted him, he's going to have more chances, I think you put him on Washington, Tampa or Indy and he'll definitely be better.
The Jets giving up on him this soon tells me this is just as much about his character as it his play. They probally don't believe he has the mentality to be a good starting QB and who's attitude has lost the respect of his teammates. He needs a new start somewhere else where he can then maybe make a better 1st impression on a personal level. Hopefully this will humble him and he will realize that just because he is the #2 pick doesn't mean he can come in all entitled.

As a RB sure, but has a long way to go as a passer. 16 TD 10 INTs, throwing picks in the 4th, just over 60% completion, and that awful record is not "excellent"

Better than Wilson though that's for sure.
Zach is garbage. Seems like the kid who expects everything to be handed to him.
