Fields has been excellent.
As a RB sure, but has a long way to go as a passer. 16 TD 10 INTs, throwing picks in the 4th, just over 60% completion, and that awful record is not "excellent"
Better than Wilson though that's for sure.
The improvement he made when they switched up the offense, his lack of weapons and offensive line, etc etc has been mentioned ad nauseam. But it's obvious you haven't really watched the dude play. A lot of 49er fans are salty about Fields, I get it.
Merry Xmas!

At some point it's the player. Wilson has been disappointing by any standard. He looks like he's regressed since college. Not sure the Jets will find any takers at his current salary but if they cut him, I wpuldnt be upset to see the 49ers take a shot at him, give Kyle a reclamation project to work on long term.
Totally agree with you. Zach Wilson has ALL the tools to be successful in the NFL and I think the matter at hand is his maturity level and that stock seems to have plummeted.

Want no part of Wilson. Dude needs to go be a PS guy somewhere.

He's the Brandon Lloyd of QBs. Makes some insane, wild athletic plays. Misses the routine ones. Sometimes passes are several yards from the receiver. He's not for long in the league if he can't hit the normal short game.

I would take Fields in a heartbeat as my franchise QB . I wanted him on draft day and nothing has changed my mind. He has crap for Wrs and has to run for his life most of the time. He would be amazing if he had the skill players on the 49ers. I think he would go 2nd in a redraft.

Or does he run because it's the only thing he is good at right now? Most of his scrambles are already decided as soon as he has the ball. It's not like he is looking for guys open and finds nobody and then decides to run. He is not comfortable in the pocket. Not sure how good of a fit he would be here. And as good as Fields has been as a runner, His team still only has 3 wins this season.

I watch Bears games he has thrown perfect passes and his WRs have just dropped them. On the 49ers he would be the MVP favorite.

Purdy is fearless, Wilson plays with a lot of fear.
That is the difference IMHO.
Purdy could care less about getting hit.

Just shows you can have all the arm talent in the world, but if you don't have the discipline, heart, and fortitude, you aren't going anywhere.

Laugh all you want, but Jcool is not that far off. I also watch a lot of Bears games, and it's clear that Fields has made considerable strides in his second year. He's been solid for a team that has little talent at the skill positions and OL.
