Yeah he's gaining steam so much so that I won't be surprised if he's top 5 or 6 in the drafting order. Starting to think it's no way this guy doesn't end up playing somewhere in the NFC East. The Cowboys, Giants, and Washington all need QBs and as of now they pick right after each other, way ahead of the 49ers.

The Giants aren't taking a QB. Daniel Jones is only in his second season and has crap for talent around him currently.
I'll leave the evaluations until after the combine and see what the scouts think. He looks good in the games he's played but they haven't played anyone. Boise State was supposed to be pretty good but they only had 2 games under their belt. Both wins came against bad teams. BYU has only beaten a bunch of losing or sub .500 teams in a crappy division so Wilson isn't facing a lot of great competition. That's why I want to see what the scouts say after the combine and have a chance to evaluate him close up. He may be as good as he looks. Then again.

Exactly. Giants will give Jones another year to try and figure it out. As for the Cowboys and Dak, him getting hurt puts the leverage back in the FO's favor in contract negotiations. They need to to address their defensive woes before QB.
Washington is the wildcard, they could draft Lance (I hope they do cuz it opens the door for us to grab Wilson) or maybe Snyder does something stupid and drafts defense again lol.

He beat USC last season almost singlehandedly with his shoulder at 70%. Even with USC being a bit down lately, BYU doesn't have near their level of talent. Meanwhile, Lawrence & Fields play on teams full of blue chip talent with WRs running wide open on every play, yet nobody questions their competition. Go look at the windows each of those guys has to fit the ball into compared to Wilson and you'll appreciate Wilson a lot more. His ball placement is elite.

The defenses that Lawrence and Fields face are better than what Wilson faces. No question about it. USC was 95th out of 130 teams in passing yards allowed last year. I'm not saying Wilson isn't good. I just don't want to go overboard and say we have to have this guy based on his games. If he looked like that every week in the BIG10 or SEC then I would be more convinced. I don't like using the combine to elevate players who didn't play well but it is a good way to see if the talent he shows in games is transferable to the NFL. Even then they still make mistakes as we see with all the busts although some of them are because they end up with a terrible team.
