Yeah he's gaining steam so much so that I won't be surprised if he's top 5 or 6 in the drafting order. Starting to think it's no way this guy doesn't end up playing somewhere in the NFC East. The Cowboys, Giants, and Washington all need QBs and as of now they pick right after each other, way ahead of the 49ers.
The Giants aren't taking a QB. Daniel Jones is only in his second season and has crap for talent around him currently.
Exactly. Giants will give Jones another year to try and figure it out. As for the Cowboys and Dak, him getting hurt puts the leverage back in the FO's favor in contract negotiations. They need to to address their defensive woes before QB.
Washington is the wildcard, they could draft Lance (I hope they do cuz it opens the door for us to grab Wilson) or maybe Snyder does something stupid and drafts defense again lol.
There is no way that the NFC East/Least teams are all passing on a QB. I didn't even mention the Panthers, Atlanta, Patriots, and Broncos. The Falcons will get a QB if they can trade Matt Ryan. Panthers will be in the QB market if they aren't sold on Bridgewater. We know the Patriots will draft a QB, and the Broncos don't know what to do as they have played musically chairs with their QBs this season. All those teams pick before the 49ers as it stands right now.
The Giants aren't totally sold of Daniel Jones who was a huge reach where he was picked to begin with. He may get another season to show more improvement but new HC Joe Judge could want his guy if the QB they are high is still on the board. Pressure is starting to mount on Dave Gettleman as GM and while I doubt he gets the ax at the end of the season, drafting a highly sought after QB could buy him some more time.
The Cowboys have a cap situation like the 49ers are facing if not worse heading into 2021. Franchising Dak Prescott at 37million is out the question and him getting hurt doesn't mean he will be signing for peanuts either. Drafting a young controllable QB will greatly benefit them financially just like the 49ers.
Washington certainly needs a QB and could draft one, signed one, or trade for one. One of those choices will happen and 2 of the 3 choices is more than likely.
I'm a little wishy washy on Wilson but no other QB is gaining more momentum than him. Just can't see him dropping far enough for the 49ers to trade up and get him. I can see Wilson being the 3rd QB off the board but it's still plenty of time, private workouts, and the combine that can change that.
