Don't have cap room to make it work, before the Laken Tomlinson restructure we only had $31K in cap room according to the NFLPA cap report.

I'm confuse... I thought one of the reason why we don't want to sign Clay is because he's a pass rushing OLB on the 3 - 4 scheme...then we trade for this guy who also plays the OLB position as a stand up rusher?

well, at least it's a very late late pick and MORE TO GAIN!!

Welcome to the NINER FAMILY!!

Give him #52 already !!!

As I said above we don't have the cap room to sign or trade for someone with a big salary. And give him #52? WTF?

But if he doesn't contribute at all then it's a total waste

Right, we might have a pick that's 10-15 spots lower in 2021 than it would be in 2022...

Can't imagine giving a pick this year, I'm expecting a 5th in the 2022 draft.

Willis has been inactive the past(not injury related) two weeks for the Jets. I can't imagine we gave up more than a 7th round pick.

I meant a 6th but I hope you're right !

Yeah the report is a 2022 6th for Willis and 2021 7th.

Poor 9moon. He's stuck in 1985.

Moon also is unaware that when Willis was in Cincy, they played a 4-3 D and he played end.

If we gave him 52 this back up DE would have the most jerseys in stands... assuming we could go to the games

Actually the article on the homepage was updated to us giving a 7th (2021) and 6th(2022). So looks like both picks from us

It's been updated again.

He's also younger than Mathews.

Lynch/Shanahan give away draft picks like water. We just gave up 2 draft picks for a guy that hasn't been active the last 2 weeks for the Jets. The Jets have the worst roster in the NFL by far. He's also a free agent at seasons end.Our team is devastated by injury and we're giving away draft picks in a season where we have a 0% chance of winning the superbowl. In a year where the cap is going down significantly, have more free agents then I can count we're back to having only 5 2021 draft picks. We're in last place in the division and we're the ones who should be trading away players at the deadline. If Lnych /Shanahan think this team is going to win this season they have lost their minds.

He's playing RDE here (60). The super slow spin move while backing into the QB.

This move is part of his repertoire. Starting at :27

Also has a couple of sacks on Mahomes starting at :57

We gave up a 6th round pick in 2022 and got back a 7th round pick in 2021 plus the player.

Interesting. He was a prospect we talked about a lot in the pre-draft process, but some of his negatives were things I wasn't sure would make him a target for us. Was not high on him. Really has struggled to make an impact since being a 3rd round pick. Only 3 career sacks.

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of Willis, either. I thought he didn't play close to as athletic as he tested.

But the dude did test insanely well at the combine. Kocurek's scheme always seems to improve or even prop up pass rushers, so I wouldn't be surprised if he plays a lot better here than he did in CIN/NY.

True.

I imagine he should play a little better, but not sure he's suddenly gonna be special.
We traded a 6th in like 2022 and a 7th in 2021 for this scrub? Championship
can he take out russell Wilson's knees?
