The 49ers already gave up valuable draft picks for an "unknown" quantity. Given that there is already uncertainty, it would be best to draft someone who has a recent track record of playing well, had played against good defenses, coached by good coaches, and succeeded.
I would say Mac Jones is the best fit amongst the left over QBs, and I hope Shanahan picks him.
There is no guarantee that Mac Jones or Lance would end up being a great QB, we've seen enough of "potential" our entire lives.
This whole talk about floor and ceiling is just sports analysts trying to act as if they know something.
This is a one time shot in the dark, take the player that comes from a college where the game of football is taught well.
