It just seems too blatantly obvious. Overall, I'll be honest, when I first watched Mac vs. Fields vs. Lance, I liked Mac the most. He is clearly the most pro ready and performed the best under pressure, which is necessary with our crappy OL. Lance, however, (given at least a year or two) could exceed Mac long-term I think. It was obvious if you looked at his tape, he did a lot of things that would appeal to Shanahan.

If we weren't looking to trade Jimmy immediately, I'd say 50-50 on Mac vs. Trey. At this point, I have no doubts anymore unless something horrible comes out unexpectedly about Jones' character that forces the 49ers to do something else.

How are you so sure? An argument can be made it's pre-covid...but if its recent, Alabama lifted its mask mandate as of April 9, 2021 and I don't htink there's any restrictions from a club operating at this point either.

Lol, he had a grand total of 42 rushing yds. He's not getting any positive rushing yds in the nfl. He's gonna get killed behind our terrible pass protection. Bad pick IMO. We need a qb that can make plays a la Russel Wilson not a small , unathletic statue with an average arm.

Disagree, he's a good enough athlete to evade the rush he faced, and is also able to throw off schedule. He didn't have to do that alot because of the talent surrounding him, but that doenst mean he's a statue back there. Just as the pro Lance and Fields folks think their QBs have underrated intangibles, so to I think they are underrating Mac's athleticism.

IF it was 3 years ago then it would have been after his DUI back in 2017, also if you look at pics from back in 2017 he was a toothpick. Didn't look like that there.

Like I get not wanting a player for whatever reason but this Mac Jones stuff has reached toxic next level hatred. A bunch of middle aged dudes s**tting all over a kid who committed the unforgivable sin of having their favorite team show interest in him.

It's become pure insanity. Just because he doesn't have the physique of Fields or Lance people think he doesn't have just as high of a ceiling. He could just as well be the only QB of this class who ends up being any good.
