Which teams I wonder?

We could be one. But if any teams believe or are not sold that we aren't taking him, they might be trying to take one last look see for themselves.

So really hard to say, but most likely the teams who are not entirely set at the QB be it for now or the future (SF, Atl, Car, Den, Phi, NE, Wash, Chi, No, Pitt, TB).
so if the plan was to upgrade the QB room and build for the future & create some top 5 QBs...what's a better plan?

Mac Jones and Nate Sudfeld

OR

Jimmy Garoppolo and Lance/fields

I mean objective you can say the first one...how do you sell that to the fans??

Win. I don't care who they draft as long as they win. That's all that matters in the end.

No, he is right... that's not were I saw that chart, but that is the chart

And

The pass totals add up to 252. Or roughly 21% of his throws that are charted.

That would make roughly 40% of Jones's passes from an unclean pocket when you factor out screens.

That actually loosly falls in line with his blitzed totals and totally puts to rest the "he never faces pressure" narrative.

This is a very good data point.

He threw 402 passes. 252 of those were from a clean pocket. 53 of those 252 were at or behind the LOS. He had at least 105 total passes at or behind the LOS (26% of 402).

So if you add the other 52 screens to 252 clean pocket throws, you get 304 passes that were screens or without pressure. 304/402 = no pressure on 75% of his passes.

I'm at the office so can't pull stuff up....but we know according to CBS he threw 85ish screen passes last year.( I don't have the exact number in front of me). Whatever it is it's 20ish % of his attempts.

Are you stating that FO is only counting 30 of those screens behind the los?

I dont see Mac's throws at or behind the LOS as a negative, but by design. Teams were giving 10 yard cushions to Macs WRs because of their speed. One reason they were giving such a big cushion is because Mac kept burning defenses deep with his deep passes.

But how does that help you know he will be successful in the pros? He won't get that in the nfl unless he was mahommes with hill

I think his arm, accuracy and athleticism is going to be fine in the NFL. Again if Kyle can make Nick look like an NFL QB, imagine him with a QB with first round arm, accuracy, athleticism, and intangibles. (And that's for all 3 QBs).

I don't think he has a first round arm, it's pedestrian. He has some first round traits but if you can process and diagnose but will struggle to get the ball where it needs to go in less than ideal settings, sounds like a coach more than a player to me.

Disagree, I watched all of his 2020 throws and his arm and accuracy is fine. Arm strength not at the caliber of Fields and Lance, but he has the quick release and accuracy critically needed in Kyle's offense.

I think Garoppolo gets traded eitherway.

Yeah. That's what sucks more than anything. A healthy Jimmy G is bad ass. Great to support as fans also.

Wonder if we don't move the #3 and draft Mac, then NE jumps us and drafts Mac which eliminates all possible options to trade Jimmy to NE.
I'd rather have Fields but I'll say this; the last uber athletic QB to win the Superbowl was Wilson (Mahomes is good but not uner athletic) and before him none have.

Brady
Mahomes
Brady
Foles
Brady
Sheriff Manning
Brady
Wilson
Flacco
Eli Manning
Rogers
Brees
Roethlisberger

You get the point....

Yeah but we have Kyle and he could have used an uber athletic QB in his last two Bowls.

Probably Jimmy, Jones and Sudfeld...

You are building one game plan for those 3. You know the pocket is not going to move around or have the qb in motion a ton.

If he's not the 3rd pick, which I don't think he is because you just cannot trade so much to get him when it didn't seem anyone else was all that interested, then I see him as potentially going to the Pats at 15. That was the first team that popped in my mind.

Mahomes is a very very good athlete. It's not all about speed.

If we are going with the rookie this year, kiss a SB berth for this season goodbye.

What will they get for Jimmy? Maybe a 2, more likely a 3? Not worth it imo. The money is already allocated so that's moot as well. I'd rather ride him out while Kyle and co COACH Fields or Lance. If Jimmy plays great it's way easier to trade him. If he gets hurts it's same old story, but at least we got the young QB to throw out there.

Pitts and then dump Jimmy G the second and filler to get back in for Mond (or Jones if he slides)

And every single one of them minus GOAT Brady is more athletic than Jones.
