Should we really set our bar that low that the prospect is better than the QBs the 49ers have? I want a guy with potential to be in discussions with Rodgers, Mahomes, Watson, Burrow, Herbert and Allen.

Right?!

I'd bet money kyle would take Tua over Herbert too.
I just don't get how you can constantly get beat by
QBs that can move and extend plays, kick the s**t out of the Jared Goffs of the world...watch two Super Bowls go up in flames in part because your QBs couldn't move to make a play, THEN go back to the well & grab the SAME f**king thing lol? PLUS massively overspend on it? WTF.

all this gibberish about evolving and wanted that Mahomes like prospect was just a load of s**t. Kyle hasn't changed and the outcome will be the same.

I'd agree with you, but maybe our stubborn head coach believes he doesn't need those guys to win.

I've been 100% supportive of Shanahan up to this point. I don't mind the draft crushes and reaches using low picks to move around. But if he drafts the wrong guy here after giving our future away, it's unforgivable. Ugh, I hope this is all just smoke.

Then he should be more curious to the next coaching staff

I don't even put all of these dudes in the same discussion, tho. Rodgers and Mahomes are elite, elite for multiple seasons now; Watson is knocking on that door; Burrow and Herbert have played 1 season-; Josh Allen was meh for 2/3 seasons. I need you to do it again before I crown you.

Isn't it kinda weird how SF was in on Watson according to numerous reports then plan B is Mac Jones?

There is absolutely no way he'd be talking about getting 100 mil before the season he had, this is definitely recent.

Like I said, much more likely he gets another DUI than Fields having issues with Epilepsy.

Is he going to be Manziel? I don't know, but I don't know how you could just dismiss this.

It's not like it's one thing either...allbirght and others have said there's some off field s**t that people don't know about.

Well that's unnerving

According to Allbright the teams know about it too.

Makes no f**king sense

We look into everything. If we end up taking Mac it's much different than being the lead club that worked out Fields
I just don't get the move Jimmy thing either? How do you know Mac is the dude almost a month ago...and not move him like the Jets moved Sam?

if Jimmy was never in the plans this yr why not move him in FA when you could have gotten more?

selling about as low as possible and you can't even have teams fighting for him because the cap is limited plus he as a no trade clause...I just don't buy it.

Meh. I'm now officially on the Jones bandwagon. He'll be fine with Kyle.

To the guys that are obsessed with his gut—you're a strange bunch lol

I'm prepared to get on board if he's ultimately the the pick. Until then I'm holding out hope it goes a different way.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was Lynch and Peters sniffing around while trying to convince Shanny to be open-minded.

From the outside, it seems like the 49ers front office wants one of these sweet, new-age toolsy+mobile QBs while Shanny still prefers a classic pocket passer.

That's exactly what I think too

NFL teams know everything by now. They talk to people these prospects went to high school and college with, neighbors, coaches, family, police...etc. If you invest that much in a player, you're going to know about any off field issues.
Kyle spitting truth bombs.

Right...he also said if SF doesn't draft him he see him dropping out of the top 10.
