This is such a horrible idea...I mean all of it.

Mayo how can you go from saying you don't want Jones like a couple days ago to being excited for him and want to move Jimmy? Man have some conviction.

you telling me our QB situation is better with Jones and Nate Sudfeld vs Jimmy and Fields/Lance?

Yeah, I think we'll be fine with Jones at the #1, Rosen at the #2 and Sudfeld at the #3. And, I've already stated that I'm on board with all three of these guys, so I'll voice my support for all of them.

That's a disgusting qb room smh

Your not thinking 4th dimensionally. Kyle is the qb. He uses vr, through the human under center to call and run the plays!!!!!

Kyle was the QB when he passed on Mahomes and Watson. Kyle was the QB when we had 3 out of the last 4 seasons with 10 losses.
So this will be my last post in here until if/when he's picked by SF (yes I know you're welcome )

I don't think I've ever read/listen/watched more on one dude during a draft process....and my overall evaluation hasn't changed.

I think he's a good processer pre/post snap. I think he's accurate...under structure. I think he throws a very catchable ball...under structure. Good mechanics...under structure. Pretty deep ball when he can set his feet. He's got good feet in the pocket, but overall his pocket was pretty damn clean. He's a good QB. He's got an above avg release, I wouldn't say its at Jimmy's level either. The way Jimmy throws the ball and how he torques up (doesn't need to set his feet properly) helps him get the ball out fast...it also leads to issues downfield because of his footwork.

It seems like his teammate love him, so that's a plus. That's kinda the main difference between him and Rosen. (a lot of other similarities though).

This is just my opinion but the way Bama players are coached up overall, a lot of them come in ready to play BUT are also for the most part maxed out. Is what it is.

NOW, IMO his ceiling is damn near there. Maybe he's the best QB yr 1 but yr 3/4 I don't think so. He has issues extending plays, he has issues making off platform throws. Lack of athletic ability will only show more in the NFL. His arm talent while not the worst in the league is bottom half (Dalton level)....it shows when he can't step into his throw or reset his feet...just the truth of it and it looks ugly.... Once he got past his 1st read his pass grade dropped a lot. The talent level, amazing OL, wide open WRs, and elite coaching all played a part and yes he just did what he was asked to do (very well). The off field stuff and how he handles himself is a red flag for me as well.

I see no elite god given traits at all and everything he is good at is a learned trait. Kyle will have to change his ways on how he builds his OL and if he doesn't change his ways on QB evaluation...I don't expect the OL to change either. Kid needs that to be successful. Kyle brought up Brees, well he's always had a top 5 OL which NO spent massively amount of cash/draft capital to spend on.

That said I think whoever they draft will have success, I do think there are massively different degrees of success and the margin of error is different for all of them....if we listened to Kyle the past six months it really seemed like he wanted that elite trait guy that he could develop and grow with. The fact that they were in on Watson kinda backed up that take....but if they go Jones it kinds tells me he hasn't changed or evolved as a coach and a lot of what he's said was hot air. 15 yrs ago Mac might be more sot after, the league has changed a TON though. Rules are different coaches call the game differently....young kids learning to play QB are also elite level athletes...that's where the league is going whether some of you want to believe it or not. When you have a player that's a Multi-Threat you have an advantage. when you step on the field and someone has a QB like that and you don't, you're automatically a man down. We see who Kyle has problems with and what type of QB we constantly kick the s**t out of...Kyle HAS to see this.

We will see AND no matter what I'm gonna root for whomever, I'm a fan and have the right to have an opinion on a player and see if he can prove me (and a lot of fans) wrong...I'm not gonna just follow the company line or trust the process anymore. My cash will be spent elsewhere until Jones because Brady or whatever some people actually believe he is.
Mac Jones has already reached his ceiling.
Mac Jones loves cocaine.

Colin Cowherd made an interesting point yesterday on The Herd yesterday when he did his spot with Peter King (both don't believe or are uncertain that it's definitely Mac Jones).

He said it is possible that the 49ers like Jones and Lance and Kyle said on Monday they like all 5 guys (that are projected to go in the 1st). He floated the idea that there is intent to what SF is doing with what is being fed to the media. A lot of the media are getting their information from other teams that are guessing as to what the 49ers are going to do, but is it possible that the 49ers have settled on a player that is not Mac Jones or Trey Lance and they are feeding the media this information to find out who is running their mouth? Remember it has been said Kyle hasn't shared his preference with his staff, nobody knows but perhaps Kyle and John. So how does Rapoport know that it is between Jones and Lance and the 49ers are not telling them until they go on the clock? Schefter is reporting this as well.

There are reports out there that there is division between the coaching staff and the personnel department on the pick. How would Todd McShay know that unless someone from our end is telling him that?

This feels like some GOT ish, and maybe in the end it does end up being Mac Jones or Trey Lance, but it gives you something to think about.

As John Middlekauff said yesterday, if the 49ers end up drafting someone other than those two, I'm not buying any pre-draft report ever. It's all BS.
Okay one more post hahaha

Dayam. They will find Schefter's rat. Wait, what if it is Daddy Shannahan?
