They're talking like its a certain thing... But literally everything else is saying it could definitely be Lance or Mac (or Fields for some people).

The #49ers have made a decision on what they'll do tomorrow night at No. 3 overall, per @AdamSchefter. They're keeping it close to the vest.

Who tf is leaking info to him. If it was so close to the vest, I'd imagine the first meeting would've been awkward after he announced it was between Jones and Lance.
Mac Jones to the 49ers (if it happens) was one of the worst kept secrets ever.

Haha. No, that's waaaaaaaaay different. I just can't think of an excuse why. Lol
"Everybody recognizes the talent with Rosen, but he is not the top guy in the draft because nobody likes him," one executive told Sando.
One team reportedly compared to Rosen a combination of former quarterback Jeff George and Jay Cutler, the polarizing quarterback most recently with the Miami Dolphins, saying he doesn't think Rosen could lead a team.
As a QB you can be an a*****e or kind of douchey even(see Mayfield) but you can't be a guy that your own teammates and coaches are lukewarm on, that speaks volumes. If you have to complain to the media about why nobody likes you or when you're drafted you have to promise that you won't be an a*****e and act like your s**t doesn't stink, that shows there's an issue there.
One thing you can't say about Jones is that his teammates and coaches aren't behind him all the way. Guys didn't hesitate when asked whether they preferred Tua or Jones. He seems to be well liked and admired by everyone within the program. The only reason Mac Jones didn't get kicked off the team after his DUI was because a whole bunch of his teammates went all Rudy on Saban to keep him around.
Guys like him, he's easily coachable, is that enough? No, but its a significant difference from Rosen who always seemed to have a massive ego and was standoffish at best.

I wish we weren't in Covid times and there was a draft party where we could get the fans reaction to the pick. It would be hilarious to watch their reaction if the pick is Mac.

The more I read/watch today the more I believe it was one of those tw all along. I am a niner fan I'll cheer hard for whoever we take. Though I'll be let down if we traded two firsts for Mac.
Kyle said in his monday pre-draft interview that the zone read and RPO's open up the passing game if defenses load up on stopping those plays. He said the key there is to pass against those kinds of defenses. The question I have is why has Lamar Jackson been unsuccessful in the playoffs despite his pocket passing ability?
As for Kyle, he's repeatedly said (paraphrasing Kyle) - QB's make his team primarily from the pocket, any extra a QB brings to the table is considered *after* he's made the team with his QB pocket skills.

Nobody truly knows what's going on between the ears of these guys. But I'm also not sure what to take from those quotes. We've heard these nameless executives and scouts say that crap about prospects all the time leading up to the draft. It's not always true.
I found it more interesting that Chris Simms praised Rosen in the way that he did and how similar it is to how he's currently praising Jones. We know that Simms and Shanahan basically share everything and are of one mind on QBs, so it makes me wonder what if Rosen was coming out this year. Would Kyle trade 2 first rounders to move up and get him? I guess we'll find out for certain tomorrow, but I believe that he would. Would Rosen have succeeded under Kyle? He'd be better, but ultimately probably not.

There has now been more money bet on the third pick of this year's NFL Draft than any in history https://t.co/cfbMIH8WVm
