Trey Lance? The most pro ready???![]()

Crocker's gotta stay in his lane. He's losing it wanting those CB skills at QB.
Why is Jones? They're all saying Lance has the highest football IQ out of all of them oh and he did this...basically ran Kyle's offense, huddled up (not taking signs from the side line), called his own protections, got half plays at the LOS then got to change it based on pre snap reads, had long lengthy play calls, played under center....also spent the last 6 months learning NFL playbooks with NFL QBs....yeah I think he could run the offense about as well as Jimmy did.
I mean I'm pretty sure RG3 did fine his rookie yr, no? He came out of a straight up air raid offense too
The competition level doesn't bother you? Did he play against one NFL caliber player?
If he didn't have the intelligence or maturity, then sure. I'd rather have Jimmy start than any rookie QB, but Lance has what you need between the ears to make the most out of his gifts. Again, he was putting together elite tape the same age Mac was drinking, crashing into cars, and almost getting booted from his program.

Total games in collegiate career with at least 6 completions 10+ yards downfield (FBS avg is ~5.5 per start) Trevor Lawrence: 21 Zach Wilson: 21 Justin Fields: 16 Mac Jones: 12 Trey Lance: 1
That and to Chance, Mac was good enough to get offered by Bama, Lance was not. Doesn't mean much now but doing things in Tuscaloosa are much more meaningful than on Fargo
