I also truly have nothing against Mac. I'm glad as f**k we didn't draft him at 3 because of his shortcomings but I do think with the right supporting cast he can be kind of a mid tier guy. No shame in that!

The difference is consistency. Russell Wilson can consistently hit deep passes. Jimmy Garoppolo can't. I'm sure you can find clips of Jimmy hitting receivers in stride on deep passes, but that doesn't mean he has a great deep ball.

Newton has been far from perfect this summer, but in our view, Jones needs to outplay him by a significant margin in order to win QB1 status. Six days in, that has not been the case. And Tuesday was a decisive win for the incumbent.

Neither Cam or Mac have been vaccinated, so it's more likely that neither start week 1. haha

Pats QB situation has been different than our's. Jimmy is playing really good but Trey has just been amazing. With the Pats, Mac Jones may win the starting job, Not because he has been really good but because Cam has been horrible.
