Either you don't know what throwing short means or you're blind.

I can tell fans are going to be real emotional watching Mac Jones.

I agree, that ball was short and is completed if pushed toward the back of the endzone.

Wrong. If the receiver caught it then it would have been completed

Even months after the draft you've got people hating on this guy like he slapped their mom and stole their last $20.

That's some serious dedication.

We've got some super insecure fans.

You totally ignored the rest of my comment and posted a still. If the ball had led the WR more towards the back of the end zone, he wouldn't have had to adjust his body and stride and could have just run under it. Because it was a little short, he had to break his stride, turn his body, and the DB had the chance to break it up, which he did.

Right and if the pass was at the back on the endzone he would've overthrown the WR. This thread might turn out toe be the funniest s**t on the site if this is what ppl are saying about this pass. Wait until he throws an int
We just gonna act like the defender is invisible.

We might need boxes of these for some posters in here this season.

For some I'm not sure if it's more important for Lance to be good or for Jones to be bad.

Why not be happy that the 49ers got their guy and that all these QBs look pretty good thus far? Each team seems to have gotten what they needed.

I liked Jones in college so I'll continue to root for him to do well in the NFL when he isn't facing the 49ers, much like how I liked Quinnen Williams, Brian Burns, Chase Winovich and others.

ITT we find out people don't know the difference between 'to' and 'towards.'

Why are you getting so riled up about people commenting on what they saw from Mac? I think most niners fans are happy we didn't draft him and I also think most fans will also have interest in the other QBs from this class to see how it shakes out.

It's ok to call a spade a spade! Saying Mac is a physically average QB that will need a lot of help around him doesn't mean niners fans are obsessed with him

Just interesting to see the same people coming back to this thread over and over to complain about and nitpick someone thats not even on the 49ers.

You don't see it with any of the other QBs, just Jones. He's living rent free in the minds of so many that the IRS should be coming after him for unreported benefits.

Once Mac becomes an above average starter, we'll probably stop.

He looked okay. You can tell he is gonna get in trouble as a rookie with the lack of drive on the ball and some inaccuracy issues but some nice touch on those deep throws. Once he gets a year's worth of experience and some timing issues down he could at least be Andy Dalton. But man... compared to Lance and even JG, his passes looked like they flew in slow motion.

Yeah just watch every one of his throws, overall he didn't look lost which is a good start. His lack of velocity is still pretty noticeable. He had a clean pocket on damn near all his throws and when he has pressure for the most part it wasn't good. I see nothing special.

Didn't push the ball downfield much. Safe plays and I'm sure that was part of the plan.

kinda looked like the guy I would expect. Andy Daltonish. I agree there.

I don't know maybe he turns into Brady lol, but I would rather just keep Jimmy then go get Mac if that's the type of QB they were looking for…glad that wasn't the case.

He looked exactly like he did at Bama just without being surrounded by 1st round picks on offense.

Didn't look great. Lots of throws that were short or slightly behind receivers.

If people were impressed by this, Trey might actually make their brains explode on Saturday night.

Dude for real lol

I don't think it was short, it was his typical lollipop deep ball though. A better DB is turning and taking that. Too much air in his deep balls IMO.
