Game on Trey!
I can't believe the 49ers passed on Mac Jones. May haunt them forever. You hate to see it.

I'd love to see Trey play with the kind of protection that Mac had tonight. He was only pressured on a few plays and generally had time and a clean pocket to throw from. The opposite of what Trey had last week. Can only speculate how Mac would have done behind a porous line like our second stringers.

Trey doesn't need that because he's mobile. That's why we took him.

This is beautiful. It showed up many times in his college tape, too. I'm a firm believer that you can't teach this—you've either got it or you don't.

Wonder if the hate for him was because everyone thought he was the pick at 3. I don't dislike the guy, but if he was the pick at 3, it would be questionable. If we stayed at 12 and picked him, wouldn't be mad. So far he's been looking good.

Not one single person in here mentioning Mac is playing with all his starting offensive line, WRs, and RBs against the Eagles backups.
Meanwhile Lance played against the Chiefs starters and behind a Swiss cheese offensive line.
I don't say that to diminish Jones. I was one of the few who liked all three top QBs. He's going to be a Matt Ryan level of qb.
But y'all overreacting over a preseason game and add no context to their situations at all. The pats offensive line might be the best pass blocking offensive line in the NFL.
Mac Jones moves up in the pocket and throws a strike = "OMG we shoulda drafted Mac Jones"
Trey Lance moves up in the pocket and throws a strike + receiver drops the ball = " bad play, is Lance a bust?"
You're a fool if you think Mac Jones didn't have the early advantage playing at Alabama and behind a great pass blocking offensive line in New England, Trey isn't a finished product.
This is a marathon not a sprint. Y'all buncha Stuart Little's I swear.
Lance's worst plays were later in the game, against the Chiefs 2nd/3rd stringers. Stop being so defensive about praise for Mac Jones, sheesh.

It was weird. I dont think any of us who liked Mac wanted him at 3. Pick 12 wouldnt have been bad but not 3. There were people in here that just went ouf of their way to bash the dude though and swore up and down how his style of play will no longer be relevent in the NFL.

He doesn't do that against a good edge rusher. He would be picking himself up off the ground.

I think alot of it had to do with people being scared to death of Kyle taking him at #3 and took it out on Mac. That and he didn't look like an athlete, Has that dad bod. Then there is the DUI he had in college. Hard to respect those who drive drunk putting others at risk. On a more shallow point I hate how he talks and does interviews. He always tilts his head upwards like he has a stiff neck or something. Annoys me lol.

He certainly looked good, but the Eagles really suck. He did what he should have. I'll admit he should have a bunch more yards but Harry dropped a perfectly thrown deep ball. The Eagles starting D is trash. Think about their backups? They're poopie. I'd take that performance with a grain of salt
