That's with all of the rookie qb's. Most will be putting up numbers versus back ups while playing with back ups. And it's pre season. No need to try to break down how good the Eagles defense is at this point. It's irrelevant. All you want is the guy not to get injured and to have a presence about him that the moment isn't too big. Show good arm strength and make good decisions. They all gonna have s**t to work on. We see the real deal when the real bullets start flying.

Also, if you notice carefully, the fact that Trey has such a long delivery makes it more difficult to reset. He literally brings the ball down and back to throw it. Once he commits, it's almost like pulling back a slingshot. This is just one tiny aspect as to why mechanics matter.

Yes, that's the point of the clips. That's called pocket presence. Good QBs feel the pressure, protect the ball, keep their eyes up, and navigate toward clean passing lanes. Mac Jones has excellent pocket presence.

Trey hate already? Seems a little premature, but whatever. Watching Mac's ceiling and floor, basically the same thing. Trey will be miles ahead of this guy when all said and done.

Mac did nothing to earn that extra second. He was at a stand still and had 3 seconds. Trey was at a stand still and had 2 seconds. If the roles were reversed, Mac doesn't get that throw off. You act like Mac was scrambling around the pocket to buy more time. I counted 3 seconds before Mac even had to move. Trey didn't have that time.

Again, you're missing the point. Nobody gives a f**k about the time they had to throw. The point of the clip is to highlight pocket presence. One guy reacted to the rush and the other didn't.

No I think you are missing the point. It's easier to throw from the pocket if you have more time. If Trey has that extra second how do you know he doesn't hang in there and find an open receiver? And I hardly call that a pass rush vs Jones. He had 1 guy who ran past him and did some half heart job by sticking his arm out.
