Yep, and we're still missing a couple of cameos

This is a good rep. Pocket movement vs. interior pressure. Quick release to hit the window on the curl. @NFLMatchup #Patriots #Eagles pic.twitter.com/upZfOjTrrr

I can't believe the 49ers passed on Mac Jones. May haunt them forever. You hate to see it.

He looked good last night. Folks hate shining bright
He certainly looked good, but the Eagles really suck. He did what he should have. I'll admit he should have a bunch more yards but Harry dropped a perfectly thrown deep ball. The Eagles starting D is trash. Think about their backups? They're poopie. I'd take that performance with a grain of salt

Jones has developed keen pocket awareness because he had no choice but to do so. He's not winning a foot race with anyone so he can only hope to step up and away from pass rushers.
Lance completely oblivious to the pressure, does nothing to move away from it. It's the thing that frustrated me the most about Beathard. He'd just drop back and stand there in the same exact spot, making life easy on pass rushers.
If he can't step up in the pocket then he needs to throw on some Russell Wilson/Kyler Murray tape and use his athleticism to keep moving around back behind the line of scrimmage, waiting for someone to come open.
Yep.
Also, if you notice carefully, the fact that Trey has such a long delivery makes it more difficult to reset. He literally brings the ball down and back to throw it. Once he commits, it's almost like pulling back a slingshot. This is just one tiny aspect as to why mechanics matter.

I counted the seconds between the two and Mac had a full 1 second longer in the pocket. And that's not counting the part where he stepped forward.
Yes, that's the point of the clips. That's called pocket presence. Good QBs feel the pressure, protect the ball, keep their eyes up, and navigate toward clean passing lanes. Mac Jones has excellent pocket presence.

Trey hate already? Seems a little premature, but whatever. Watching Mac's ceiling and floor, basically the same thing. Trey will be miles ahead of this guy when all said and done.

Mac did nothing to earn that extra second. He was at a stand still and had 3 seconds. Trey was at a stand still and had 2 seconds. If the roles were reversed, Mac doesn't get that throw off. You act like Mac was scrambling around the pocket to buy more time. I counted 3 seconds before Mac even had to move. Trey didn't have that time.

Objective football analysis=hate
No. Stop being emotional about these players.

Again, you're missing the point. Nobody gives a f**k about the time they had to throw. The point of the clip is to highlight pocket presence. One guy reacted to the rush and the other didn't.
Pocket presence.
