Cousins does not move like that in the pocket. That guy is a sack machine. It's not just about throws and velocity.

Exactly. I'm not downplaying Jones' ability to play quarterback at this level, especially with Belichick backing him. But I don't think he'll ever be elite, or even considered a top 16 guy.

Thats Macs ceiling: exactly what you get from cousins. Nothing necessarily "wrong" with that, I think cousins is an ok player but nothing elite and will never be playing in late January

I don't buy this logic. The QB position is one of the least dependent positions on physical tools, even if they still make a difference. We're acting like Kirk Cousins is somehow only limited by his physical tools.

Mac Jones can be much better than Kirk Cousins, even if they have similar physical tools. There's no reason why he can't move in the pocket better, read defenses better, be more accurate, and make better decisions. If he can do those things, he can be a high level player. Will he do those things? Maybe not, but we're talking about ceiling here.

Joe Montana's ceiling is apparently Kirk Cousins too.
