He was never going to be @ #3 regardless of what Shanahan says, IMO.

If you're making sure you secure the #3 spot it's 1 of Lawrence, Wilson, or Lance. I'd bet he would've been fine with any of the 3.

Another end of the half when they should have just kneeled. He essentially gave up not wanting to make a mistake.

The other was a bad coverage sack that. One in which he should have checked down or thrown away.

I didn't see or don't remember the 4th.

Of the ones I seen only a was a bad sack. Whereas Lance's usually is him just standing there like a deer on headlights

Mac no doubt looks a lot better than Lance at this point. That said, I'm not so sure that shanny made the wrong choice. Is it possible Lance fizzles out of the league and Mac becomes a bonafide franchise QB? Sure. But I think it's obvious what Shanny wants from the QB position, and how he wants the total offense to work with so many versatile offensive weapons. Will Lance be the key to his ideal system? We shall see, but it's clear Mac is not the missing piece to the puzzle shanny is tryna put together, regardless of if he will be better in general.

The good news for Shanahan is that if Lance were to fizzle out, he'd probably have a good shot at coaching Arch Manning, in some other city.

I think he would have been fine here and NO as well

There is reason why Mac Jones thread is still hot and active on this site even after the 49ers selected Lance. He is extremely accurate, a hell if decision maker, and has great touch on the football. New England got a steal at 15.
