Mac Jones throw on the same drive as the TD. D in a pressure look and Jakobi Meyers gives the DB a quick move at the line pic.twitter.com/2ymf1qZJ1O

Actually they had a QB that could make that throw on the team in 2017.

You guys slobbering over Mac for making throws literally any NFL QB can make. Hoyer's was even into a tighter space.
What exactly is your idea of 'consistent'? Because Mac misses 2-3 of those same throws almost every week.

McDaniel is right oc for him as he loves the short passing attack but he's playing well.

I mean he's right....kid played good but give me a break with calling that throw anything special. 49er Fans so hard on to find even an okay QB. Kinda sad.

Dude even makes Kendrick Bourne look like a star. Because he has such good ball placement and accuracy. Bourne is a scrub. If you make him look good you have talent.
lol 12 of his 23 passes were screens and those accounted for 75% of his passing yards. He played well, but the NE offensive game plan and the execution of it by the entire offense is what won them the game.
There wasn't a better place for him to go too...that scheme, OL, D, running game are perfect for him and his skill set.
People complain about whatever, but fit matters. End of the day Jimmy would have been playing and McCorkle would have been on the bench all the same. AND everyone would be screaming he sucks all the same.
Good for the kid. I'd prefer to see what our QB can do then worry about him at this point.

That was literally Hoyer's first throw off the bench and was the farthest-thrown completion of the game. haha

I mean it's true though...you calling the browns with one armed Baker and no RBs good? I'd say the best team he's played this yr and beat was LAC and all they did was kick a bunch of FGs and play great D.
McCorkles' IAY is damn near the same as Jimmy's (around 7.7) that's actually not horrible (still bottom half of the league) you can play that style of football as long as everything else around you is humming. We proved that in 2019, but thinking that everything is gonna consistently be good around you is not realistic.
Some fans just wanted upside and the ability to be elite, not a great game manager. We will see what Trey ends up being down the road....

BUT only a elite QB can make that throw vs the Browns
I watched that whole damn game with a pat fan, it was so incredibly annoying...Jones wobbled a ball on slant and he goes oh my god did you see that dart lol? I won't hate on the kid overall played fine...no need to make up s**t though.
I mean they basically did what McCoy did to SF...but of short quick stuff to negate the pass rush...they ran the ball effectively and once the Browns stopped running the ball and baker got hurt it was done. Pats played good team football.

That throws looks pretty much the same as One Play Trey's 1st preseason game.

He is officially the ONLY QB in the history of football to have his entire offense be the reason he wins in college and now the NFL.

Cool we have a QB on this roster that can make that throw all the same. I never said that throw was something special when Trey threw it....if anything it showed that he does in fact have touch.
Not a big deal, better catch then anything imo.

People continuing come up with reasons for Mac Jones' success other than Mac simply being good are looking more and more foolish every week.

If Trey Lance was starting and playing as well as Mac Jones has played, 49ers fans would absolutely be losing their s**t right now, including the same people going out of their way to still bash Jones.

Lance won't be throwing 15 screen passes and checks down a game
