It won't end unless Trey lives up to the Draft picks we traded away for him.

i wonder what NFL you have been watching that has functional NFL Rookie starting QBs that come predominantly in the second and 3rd round.

The underlined part. Why doe the celebrators not want to have legit discussion about this? You obviously know your stuff, so please post more.
I say this once a month without much recognition regarding it,...but the NFL, as is often said, is A LEAGUE OF ADJUSTMENTS.
Kyle knows this himself having had RG3 to try and foster. How'd that pan out?
Legit teams know exactly how to play us with Jimmy G by now. Give some of these defensive coaches a year of game film on Mac in the Patriots offense and he becomes a sitting target. Ok then, how will his game react? If you are sure he will be just fine,...what have you seen from him this season that makes you so sure?
Yes, the league does make adjustments, when they see something new happening. The thing with Jones is that he isn't doing anything different. He is playing the same McDaniel offense that the league has been seeing for years.
The rest of the league may be surprised to see a rookie playing so well, however, WHAT they are doing in NE is not new. That offense, combined with Belichick's defense and ability to game plan against an opponent has a lot of Lombardis sitting in the showcase.

Do you mean the kid that REALLY wanted the 49ers to draft him?
I agree. It is his to lose at this point. In the Steeler system, he will keep putting up numbers.

Rashawn Slater is going to be a pro bowl rookie and Jamar Chase is putting up inside numbers, too.

A reminder of the point @LRiddickESPN made about Mac Jones before the draft: This story -- on how to find a franchise QB in the draft -- is interesting to revisit now, too. https://t.co/fyAhpmgBg1 pic.twitter.com/kCTnotMVuo

It is still so early,
I am a pretty happy Jones Fan watching him do his thing in the NFL, after so many haters said he couldn't. Dude has a rare ability to find an open guy and hit him.
But it is early.... 3 years ago we had a QB with a very rare ability to release a football and beat the defense before they could close and defend a pass. Stuff happens in the NFL and no every line is straight.
There are a 1000 diff ways Trey could end up the better QB, but one of the two is showing he actually belongs in the NFL.
I Am sure alot of 49er fans are nervous, this has somewhat of a Smith vs Rogers feel to it. Thank God we are not throwing Trey to the wolves like last time, and Shanny is not Nolan.
I have a ton of faith in Shanny and Trey.

h/t for finding this.
It is an interesting perspective with a lot of truth about the aesthetics that people want to see. Aesthetics, as in running around, are cool but that alone is not always effective. For example, of the top 10 rated QBs, only three are rated higher than Jones as a runner. His critics said he did not have good running ability like some of the "pretty guys," however, when he runs, he is more effective than most of the rest of the top QBs.

You know the Patriots are back when they're already calling Mac Jones a system QB. 😂

OVER-RATED
Guy is fine. I think Fields his improvement from game 1 to now blows Mac out of the water. Fields and Lawrence look better right now.

Mac goes for 19-23 198 yards 3 TDS 0 picks last game and we hear he's nothing special.
Lawrence puts up 31-61 280 yards 0 TDS 0 INTS over last 2 games and he looks better?
This thread definitely brings the lulz
